I love Zendaya. I think she’s a fashion icon, beautiful dancer, an elegant and charming person. With that said, her acting is not her true talent. She has a passion for performance and I believe she will be great. She’s not yet captivated me with an on screen performance. I am excited to see the day.

In my experience, the men in this film, all of them, are common... I am decades into this being-a-female-human experience. I have lived in 6 cities and traveled to several other states and countries....This film is sufficiently horrifying because, with exception of the supernatural elements, this story isn't unrealistic or unlikely to occur to any singular woman...or even to a man upon whom male desire is thrusted. We don't need supernatural elements to catalyze disgust, fear, and repulsion as reality offers a cornucopia of disturbing devolutions to select from for the silver screen. This film is effective because it makes contact close to "home." With respect to the terrifying personalities portrayed by the men of this film, please know that if you haven't experienced this behavior you are one of the select few. I would caution against saying "not all men..." just because it hasn't been experienced by you. It's like saying "racism isn't that serious" just because you are out of touch with the systems of oppression that are at play...keeping in mind that sexism runs even deeper. Stay diligent in your pursuit of a clear grasp of reality. Ciao, belles.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters seems like her ultimate “controlled chaos” album. It feels spontaneous and raw and is very unpredictable. But the more you listen the more you can tell how intentional everything is. While as much as people talk about the production and direct lyricism of that album, very little has been talked about as far as its overal themes. This obsession with time, looking back and looking forward with dread or indifference, is persistent throughout. And that theme is brought home in a very direct way with its closing track “On I Go.” Really great video.

I believe Zendaya's great performances due to the director Luca getting THAT from actors - a lot of actors got their most critical acclaimed roles in his films. I enjoyed her performance even though I thought the male actors were more of a stand out.

@@MiArcangel If you watch Zendaya in any interviews for example and her movies you’ll see that what you said is a lie. She’s a very different person from all her characters, especially Tashi in Challengers. I will ask though, what qualities does Zendaya HERSELF posses that makes you adamant that she’s playing herself? Playing “lonely” and “somber” characters with attitudes doesn’t really reflect who she is as a person.
@kita2361

Genuine question. What personality traits has Zendaya exhibited in real life that makes you think that she was just “being herself” as Tashi Duncan in Challengers? I’ve watched many interviews of her and she acts like a completely different person than her characters onscreen.

men HATE zendaya usually cuz of how good she is. When that tennis coach movie came out with zendaya, they were basically slut shaming her as if it didn't register in their noodle brain that she was acting. They were shitting on tom holland also by calling him a cuck. What a weird display of male insecurity.

I’ve often wondered if a director such as Lynch gives the actors the story behind a shot or scene to explain what is going on symbolically, or if that remains something that even the actors are not aware of.
