They are related to Guinea Pigs and some of their behaviors are similar. 😊. We had one in a remote backpack campsite and he was quick to communicate and I am fluent in GP, so I spoiled her and gave them my hiking poles to lick the salt off. ❤😊

Hi, so I found one of these guys in my house a couple of days ago and I put him in a container thing to keep him safe from my cats. Now he's curled up and not moving, I'm worried he's dead, but I just found about this animal can hibernate and this animal in general so I'm not 100% sure if he's dead now. How do I know if a woolly bear caterpillar is hibernating? I tried looking it up, but I only got ai stuff and I don't trust ai. Edit: I didn't put him outside because he was moving and it was really cold out, now it's snowing right now.
