Nice talk through! What's up with the camera moving so much? Is that purposely or just a loose mount?

Thanks! I haaaaaaaate how much the camera is moving 😫😫😫!! It’s a new (to me) GoPro. I changed the settings and the camera angle to hopefully correct it. It was on Super Hypersmooth. Way too much smooth for me 🤣

Looking good. Way to recover and refocus after the spin. I'd say keep an eye out for outside lines when trying to pass, the inside may be shorter but if you've got the cornering speed and the inside line never opens, looking for alternate lines can get the driver ahead out of position
@brianparrish555

You commentary/self critique is pretty spot on dude! Loosen up Turn 1 a bit and you'll have some more velocity by the bus stop. Looks like a little bit too much lift/brake in bus stop to me too. Otherwise, tidy! China Beach/Madness is looking really good.

To be a debbie downer: You did not have position at 13:45 but I would have taken that open door too. Be careful with that at Nats, doors will be closing hard!

Lastly your over under setups in carousel on Eric and Marc are perfect. Little more confidence in T1 and you would have had him at that turn, but your patience pays off!

Your technical sections are very tidy! I think your entry is about a car length early on most hairpin style turns. Definitely on T12, and more often than not T4/5 whatever turn it is before the hill. Also, punch the brakes more. You look real stable that whole time, which means you aren't aggressive enough. Remember how short my red sections were for braking? Sure I'm almost sliding every turn, but that's the ultimate goal. Try and work those down. Between T12 and T4/5 that's probably 1.5 seconds. More aggressive braking is probably even more.
@brianparrish555
@brianparrish555 Жыл бұрын
@racecarcamp9056 Thanks! Race 2 and 3 times were 1.5 - 2.0 sec faster after your feedback. I still struggled with the shorter breaking distance, locking up RR a few times in T12 and T17. Noted on the later entry for the hairpins, T12 and T5 - I can see how I’d carry more speed as a result. Looking forward to Pitt again so I can apply it all.

Lol - all good questions! The short answer is we’re not in a wheel-to-wheel competitive race. There are safety requirements, but fire proof clothing and window nets are not required for this HPDE event.

It is loud enough, very attractive and will give you the most satisfying drives to the grocery store ever. It is loud enough to make you feel like you’re driving a rocket, but it’s not so loud that it gets annoying or make your neighbors complain. It turns Subie drivers’ heads, and it sounds better than other pipes including Q300. Do it.

This is good to hear. I have a '15 WRX with the same N1 Dual titanium tip exhaust. I have the silencers and I am planning on adding a downpipe but have been concerned about the increased noise in addition to the other list of items I am going to be adding. PRL Charge pipe, GS Stealthbox, EGR/TGV delete and Crawford AOS. I need to test my silencers in current setup
