There are two important subjects to human existence: Anatomy and physiology. While Religion is the Body with functional structure, Spirituality is the Soul that exist to explain, move and direct/guide that structure. Science and religion can totally coexist if we just let them do their own thing. Science explains the “how” of the universe, while religion explains the “why” for many people. Problems pop up when either tries to take over the other's turf, like using religion to dismiss science or science to bash religious beliefs. If we respect what each one brings to the table, they don’t have to clash. They can actually complement each other in pretty cool ways.

My instinct was to think of religions as harmless as folk dancing. So long as I wasn’t required to watch performances, let people enjoy themselves.
