Looking back at this film, I can definitely see many references Yamazaki used in Minus One from this movie

Finally got to watch this one. The special effects were great, my complaints were spending so much time on the Bio-Major and Saradia plotline with no apparent payoff, and Biollante not really being all that fleshed out. She just does the sparkly thing and the space rose thing with no explanation, then comes back to fight Godzilla again for...some reason? Trimming bits and a little bit of reorganizing would have made a huge difference.

After not caring for Godzilla vs Kong, I only watched GxK as an obligation. I weirdly liked it. I can't overstate how much Millie Bobby Brown's character ruined the previous films, and her absence was a welcome change. I found the wordless moments with Kong to be compelling, and I think his first showdown with the Scar King was a fantastic study in communication for film students (yes, it plays on every conceivable "good guy meets bad guy" trope, but it was done with no spoken language. That's something noteworthy.)

I actually really like the music from the ending. Is it just me? This has to be you one of my favorite Godzilla movies purely because of all the memories that it brings back off when I was young, as well as all the other ones, but this one has special place because all of the monster action scenes and when I was younger, that’s all I cared about

When you watch this on mute, it's hilariously jarring when all of a sudden that only picture you have of Sekizawa just pops up on the screen. I love it.

As someone who lives in the Southern US it was really exciting to see Godzilla go up against an accurate depiction of our mosquito ridden summers in this film. No giant irradiated queens have emerged yet, thankfully

I always thought this was a pretty solid movie. My personal low point of the Heisei era would be Godzilla vs King Ghidorah. Weakest story and I was never a fan of the Ghidorah fights...

To me that Godzilla looked like a updated version of the hero Godzilla, but went back to villain
