I like buying GOATs in sports cards, players like Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays in particular. I don't buy modern material, but I do like high grade Michael Jordan cards. Over time, I think those are solid investments.

Why waste money on grading and getting it back so you can't read the comic afterwards? I mean a plastic baggie w/ ziplock should be enough to store it properly + you can take it out, browse through it and best of all SMELL the comic. All comic got a certain smell when it came out to the newsstand or wherever you bought them back then. I love the old smell as it transport me back to when I was a kid and was able to buy old comics for a very low price. Actually most of my old comics I paid nothing for. I found them at junk yards or got them from people cleaning their attic.

the grading is mostly done for investment purposes. If you want to sell an expensive comic at auction, you'll get the best price for it if it's slabbed. For my personal enjoyment, I read comic books that are not slabbed a lot.

You really need to suggest possible prices so us beginners can learn! Putting out prices can set us on the right path. We are all so helpless. Prices for suspense #22 are all over the place so what does my pal do? I love reading but he wants to sell. It’s what you say is raw. Should he slab it , look at me with these terms.l

those are great books and always good investments. I particularly like the Schomburg covers, and they will sell at a premium over the non-Schom covers

Im currently working on my silverage X-Men run. However, im collecting #1-#66 which is all of the original issues before they started reprinting the books. So far, most of mine have been 9.0 to 9.2 in grade.

Really dig this idea. Whoever grabs these books is getting a deal. Love to see more of these in the hopes of picking up a Weird Science or Weird Fantasy at a decent price. 😅 By the way, I love the high resolution of these videos. Love it, love it, love it. The pch Atlas books have been undervalued for years, but are finally getting their due in the collector's market. Heck's Horrific and Weird Terror covers are among some of my favorites. He swiped part of his War Fury #1 cover for the bullet-to-the-head cover you referenced in #3. He is still an underappreciated artist. Horrific #6 is my favorite of his covers. More videos, please!
