This railway was finish in 1908. The oldest railway in the world: running on AC single phase current. 6800 volt, 25 hz. The locomotive and passengerwagons are from 1908!👍 And it's the second steapest railway in Norway. Between Svorkmo and Løkken it's 4,4% climb/fall; 3 kms.

Excellent videography thank you! Just as I would expect from you Sir! The air seems so clear there…I could almost ‘feel’ how fresh and crisp it must have been! Question…what are those round extrusions on the top of the iron ore wagons? Are they used for gripping the wagons when they’re emptied? (Tipping fashion?). I’ve seen them quite often….but I’m still puzzled! Best wishes from Rob in Bournemouth, England.

Tid 02:30. Det där är inte Gullhönan. Den gula bussen byggdes av Hilding Carlssons mekaniska verkstad i Umeå. Gullhönan är en 2-axlig pjäs klädd i teak och byggd långt tidigare. Tid 05:20. Nej, inte Gullhönan. Tid 12:30. Där har Du Gullhönan! Fina bilder på henne vid vändskivan i Gräfsnäs.
