If I used it for hunting it would definitely be to light for that. Its a laminated wood stock that is also to pretty and heavy for taking in the woods. Its a target gun that I shoot off a table or from a shooting mat. If im going in the woods with a 22lr I bring my Takedown Charger. Its got a 3.5lbs trigger, carbon fiber tension 10" barrel, polymer furniture with a brace. I ordered every single part of it from custom shops so there isn't a single factory Ruger part in it. Its a beautifully built that is perfect for a backpack gun.
