Thank you for sharing ! Im rebuilding a R50 and came across your video which was perfect timing. After watching your video I took apart the harness and found the knock sensor cable is actually independent from the harness. The cable is actually long and placed the sensor at the location you suggested.

This video is wrong on so many levels the knock sensor is connect the wire harness with the fuel injectors the plug he connect it with is for the O2 sensor

Your saying a mechanic would take 5-6 hours. I called a shop for a friend to get a $ estimate. $300 for labor so I don't think the estimated time is more than 3? Just sayin. Also please give us a follow up on this, thanks.

Fucking amazing. Absolutely life saving. I just got finished putting my motor back together to get an emissions test done and the harness isnt fully seated on my knock sensor so I got a P0325. Thankfully I have a spare so I will splice it in and relocate per your video. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS!!!

Thanks Devan for making this helpful video. I had the exact problem with my 2002 Pathfinder. I ordered the following parts from Amazon M6-1.0 x 35mm Flanged Hex Head Bolts, and the Knock Sensor 22060-30P00 with Harness Wire. I decided to leave my original blue male connector that’s connected to the knock sensor alone. So I went to the junk yard and picked up another blue male connector. I connected the blue male connector to the knock sensor harness wire. The knock sensor was mounted as described in this video. I then connected the blue male connector to the blue female connector.
