Although my comment is past Feb 14, I would like to suggest a solution to the concern that Local property owners may end up paying through increased taxation for the improvements that will be needed to mitigate the impacts of an increasing influx of tourists, even if these tourists have the proper attitude towards the natural environment of the Bruce Peninsula that they come to enjoy : I believe that these costs need to be funded on two bases : "Full Cost Pricing" and "User Pays". The local municipality or other affected Agency, as applicable, will be amenable to the implementation of any selected mitigation measures if these two costrecovery/funding principles are adopted and found throughout the Strategy and its management plan.
