Thanks Derek, big help. First time setting this up in mastercam I got through the process really well on my third try for a simple 3 axis mill. However I still can't get it to simulate anything using it. Comes up with "Can't load machine configuration files". Looks great on the screen everything moves properly. This happened the first two times I set this up as well but I kept fixing things. Last time my spindle wasn't at the table as shown so I though maybe that was the issue. But I did notice that every time I go to load my machine from a different file to try to make some changes, that it somehow converts it to metric on an inch scale so my machine with a 22x50 inch table turns into about 3 inches. Then I recreate the whole thing again(time consuming) and save it, and does it again. Is it required that I create it in metric for it to work properly? Or am I missing a button somewhere. Mastercam 2020. Thanks!

Update, don't start over at 27mins, change axis combo to left lower. Its set to left upper in the video. I think it should change by itself relative to the tools orientation. It's easy to forget to change. Or at least show the cutter at the collision point, so you would know what it is.

I have a question about the "1 to 1 to 1" ratio for post, control def, and machine def. Lets say you have machine A & B, both are from the same manufacturer but machine B can only feed half the speed of machine A. In this situation, wouldn't you want to use the same control def and post, but just change the machine def?(to limit the max feed values of machine B). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
