Who cares what the antlers look like? It’s meat, the reason for hunting is to feed your family, not all people hunt just to put a picture online of them with a big set of antlers and a big mature buck they are gonna either only make sticks with or give it to someone else. That’s a big bodied buck that’ll feed this man’s family!

I can tell you haven't hunted the MN north woods in the last decade or so. Took me four years to get a spike in Cook County, my first deer. This is a beautiful big bodied buck. They need to be that way to survive the winters, and don't always have big racks.

I find it difficult to take clips like this seriously. Worcestershire sauce? Sure. Beef tallow basting? Hell yes. Cooking temps and methods? Nailed it. Pre mixed spices? Nah bro. What was in it? How do I recreate it without buying it? Was it savoury or sweet? Pepper or chilli based? Gives me nothing to work with and I doubt I could order it in NZ.
@RealParadiseOutdoors2 ай бұрын
@@PharmacyKeys I can agree with that take. One thing I’ve learned as a hunter and outdoorsman is that there are certain things I like to humble myself with. I can cook in a lot of different ways but making my own seasoning mixtures isn’t my thing. There are so many people that are already way better than I would ever be at making them. Pork Fat Rules. I don't get the whole tallow thing. I know it's all the rage, but I don't find beef to ever be a good tasting fat unless, maybe it's a little bit of crunchiness on the edge of a Steak. I'm a Texan who prefers the Flat of the Brisket which is leaner and generally drier than the Point.
@RealParadiseOutdoors2 ай бұрын
@@bassmangotdbluz funny I haven’t utilized tallow traditionally that much, but it added a really nice flavor to the crust without taking away from the taste of the Venison. You guys for sure know what you’re doing in Texas though, mouth watering food all over!
