I have a strong prediction that in about a few years from now gemmy will be making quality animatronics like they used to. And animatronics like Donna the dead count vigor and dr shivers will return as those three were there most popular unlicensed life sizes. And the reason I say this is because there leaning kd scarecrow from Walmart last year and honestly it was pretty amazing the face looked like a treater greeter and the audio felt like classic gemmy. There life sizes grinch from last year also felt classic he had a base. And the 2025 deluxe Freddy prototype is collapsible and is made of latex and resin not cheap milk gallon like plastic and was very detailed. And the clothes looked good detail as well. Also a lot of unreleased prototypes from recent years look very good quality and feel like classic gemmy.Again I could be very wrong but I have hope.

The Santa in 2019 sang holly jolly christmas, and winter wonderland. I liked the one in 2019, I don't like the one you're reviewing. In my opinion, the one in 2019 was better.

He looks very good and has many sayings; however, I agree that it is disappointing that he does not sing a few traditional Christmas songs or snippets of them too.

I only have a few problems with this santa: 1. His voice is too high pitch for a jolly old man 2. His sensor is not hidden whatsoever 3. He doesnt move as much as the origional (in my opinion, doesnt thrn as much) 4. He doesnt have the white trim going down the front of his coat (i just like it better that way seeing as most santas are depicted like that) But otherwise, perfect! I like the molded hands because i thought the saggy gloves on the origional didnt have enough form. I kinda like how he doesnt tell stories or sing, it sets him apart from the other santas out there.

@@bozo1118 Very good valid points! Especially the voice. I will admit the voice is different and a bit too high for me. The overall design however is very nice. Only I would say I can either take or leave the white going down. I understand completely why you would want such a design I think it would look good too! The singing I agree because I'm like you in some ways, I think it helps this guy stand out. The cowboy version was like that and both are very well designed

My husband and I just bought him and he does not sing carols or tell stories at the online description says. We are going back to Home Depot next week to get a reimbursement for this error in the description. Overall he is beautiful and we are so very excited to show this to our granddaughter. We love him.

@@nicolecastillo5528 I unfortunately believe that he is meant to not sing anything. I have no idea why they said he sings when he doesn't. Mine unfortunately doesn't either which leads me to believe it's not an error it's just a description error. Overall still a very gorgeous Santa and still worth it in my opinion! I'm definitely keeping mine.

I can second your issue with the body. I was about ready to return him. Kind of used your presentation here as reference, but only heard after the fact of taking off the plastic piece on the gears. He now moves like he should!

Well, considering that it's not singing that sounds like a factory error in my book. What you could do is buy the new one at AtHome and then you could dress it up in the original outfit. It's the exact same skeleton and build just a different suit

In your opinion, what animatronic would go best next to THD 3000 inside of a garage display? Wanda Webworth? Martian Warrior? I cant fit Giant Death Ray in there, but It'd be cool to put THD 3000 next to something that doesn't necessarily talk but fits in a corn field theme.

@@DISstockmagic That is a very tricky question. Considering it can be hard to match such a theme to a corn maze. However, based on what I do, I can say that the Martian Warrior might probably look the best. I do an alien/ SI-FI theme every year and he really does looks good next to the aliens that I set up. I think it'll look even better once I get more alien stuff out. However I would stick with something that kinda brings the SiFi theme out and compliments him in his own field.

@@gemmybonez459 thanks so much for your comment based on your experience! My garage “bay” has a black backdrop with the moon and clouds, and the walls will have corn stalks on them. So kinda an outdoor-y theme. I agree that Martian warrior would look so amazing next to him, if not just leaving THD by himself in the corner. I’d really like to see your alien sci fi Halloween set up sometime!

So they implemented a sensor but unfortunately it is a sound sensor and only goes off with loud noises or clapping.

I 100 percent agree with you! I think this is probably my second favorite, the cowboy being my third, and the first is the one that was sold at AtHome last year with the lantern. I definitely think that the very first original one was definitely the best. It has the best voice and traditional design overall. I'm so happy you enjoyed the unboxing

@@bigdaddysherwood Unfortunately these guys had no motion sensors on them. As of this video I sold mine off because I had other ideas. They have sound sensors and try-me buttons. That's about it.

Definitely dig this model of the Santa, he stands out from his list, we definitely needed a lifesize Santa holding a list as if he’s checking it. I will however be keeping my 2023 Santa as I just like the soundtrack better and how he sings unlike this one.

He sadly broke on me and I was never able to figure out what happened. Otherwise, now I have this one and the cowboy which I am beyond happy with. I just can't believe how well crafted this one is. We definitely needed something like this

@@dalegribble8140 I've heard a lot of different things here as of lately. I think one of the things is that the copyright for the theme song is quite expensive now and if not that I've also heard they don't sell the theme off like they used to. It makes no sense to me either. The body movements and appearance aren't bad at all but unfortunately like you said the theme is missing and I don't know why. It's upsetting so I'm still hoping we'll get something at some point

Also, in regards to this guy, it really would be cool for a sensor of some sort to actually be implemented. I really do love this guy. I think the sensor would just add even more to it

Definitely love this Santa! I’m actually glad they didn’t cheap out on him through the years like we all thought they would after the first model came out. This Santa is a god compared to the Gemmy realistic one.

@@ElijahBrown-l3n Compared to most Gemmy Santa's this one is definitely over the top. I absolutely love him and I love the voice. Like you, I'm so happy they are just improving them more every year instead of cheating out like a lot of these companies do. Overall such a great piece of work by SVI.

Oh my God. This one has to be the best one yet. Especially the voice, but not only that I love the music. I really wish the company would make smaller versions of these because my room is not really that big. I wish they would make a table top out of this. Like seem nice base speaker, but just a smaller version that can sit on your table.

@@gemmybonez459 Yeah, absolutely. I just feel bad for Andrew Gold, who never got to see his song hit mainstream popularity. He passed in 2011 and the song became popular a few years later. Agreed about the animatronics though. it's amazing to me that servo props are being continuously released! I do wonder why it seemed like it started all of a sudden with Grim.

I would also add that the beard just looks SO perfect too. It's long and beautiful. Along with that, Like you said, the overall appearance is just gorgeous and over all I think this is the best classic take on Santa we have received by far.

He's pretty cool. I like the list. This one is different from the others because he doesn't sing. I do have a few issues with him. One the voice. It sounds a little young to be Santa and I wish he sang at least one song. Like I said I think it's interesting how he has phrases. It makes him unique.

I think I would agree. The voice I feel like could've been a bit deeper, but at the same time I feel that it's somewhat fitting still. I am very bummed there were no songs because I was for sure there would be. It is a shame but at the same time I absolutely love him in so many ways. This is quite possibly one of SVIs best Santas yet.

I actually do believe so as well. And the funny thing is that it's not even fully plush. He is genuinely built a bit like a Grave Raver and I absolutely love it! This is probably the best little plush-like animatronic that we have received from a retailer and I love it! Definitely a great concept. Idk how Big Lots pulled this out of thin air but it's awesome.
