@@SimsFreelancer I didn’t see your comment as criticism, to be honest. Just something you would have liked to see in the clip I uploaded. Which you completely have all the right to express, since I uploaded the clip and allowed comments on it. But at the same time I have the freedom to choose which feedback I want to use for future clips I make. And currently I am in my arty farty black & white phase, so I humbly decided not to take your color advice 😎. It’s not that I cannot handle criticism, it’s just that I want to create what I feel like at this moment, without being influenced too much by what I think my audience will like. Maybe I gain some followers, maybe I lose some. But in the end I cherish the creative freedom I have when making music, compared to the restrictions I have in my daytime job, working for demanding clients. I hope you understand 😊

Nice arpegg on the digitone .... wondering if i add a digitone or a digitakt to the syntakt i have , was concerned about the possible overlapp with the digitone ...engines that are the cores of a lot of syntakt ones ....
@stofbug2 ай бұрын
@@ZozillaThaGreat Thanks, I love arps. I’m not into samples so for me the Digitone was the obvious choice. And the FM capabilities of the Digitone are more advanced than the FM engines on the Syntakt. You get polyphony, chorus and envelopes for the moderators, so you can make some really weird sounds 😊. Good luck making a decision.
@ZozillaThaGreat2 ай бұрын
@@stofbug yeah i know about the digitone , but i was more commenting on the caracter distingishable of the fm in both that sound close , of course the digitone is more capable .... as for the digitakt , sampling can bring texture and natural sounds in the equation , this is what i would go for if digitakt 2 .... what holding from the digitone is the potential new one !! ;)

@@sinewaymusic What you describe is an artefact that apparently is normal for these OLED screens. I have it too, on my old screen and new screen as well. I had contact with Elektron about this and they said this is relatively common and will not get worse over time.

Apparently it's an issue with an entire batch of these white screens. A LOT of people have this exact problem with DT2. Wanted to buy it but there's just no way I'm gonna do it after seeing so many users posting photos of these broken screens on elektron forums : / Hope they fix it in the next few years but I'm not holding my breath...
@stofbug5 ай бұрын
@@BB-mt5sbYep, and the biggest problem is it doesn’t show up immediately, sometimes it takes months to manifest. So they cannot do any quality control on the machines that go out the door. The only hope is that the screen manufacturer knows exactly what the problem is, can fix it and somehow setup a proper testing procedure for the screens. It is a PR nightmare for Elektron and also a financial nightmare, because of the repair costs and people delaying purchases until the issue is resolved. I hope my replacement screen is gonna be OK, because I love my Syntakt.

@stofbug6 ай бұрын
Thank you very much 🙏. It is actually just one pattern, where I create the variation by (un)muting and fading tracks. All my explorations so far are done with a single pattern for each jam. In the future, when I want to do more complex songs, I want to start using multiple patterns. But so far I’m still having fun with single pattern jams 😄
