It’s bc women engage in comparative analysis. They’re constantly checking to see how their relationship measures up to everyone else she knows. This leads to her being unhappy. um, BS, this may work for women (I doubt it), if I as a dude shut up I might buy myself 3 min of time at the expense of her continuing. Most women either, 1) have prepared for the fight they planned (and may need to have) or 2) it's built up over time and has now exploded. In either case, this is the time that the fight is going to happen, She can not or will she wait. The best advice ask her to pause while you get a notebook so you can listen. Then tell her you are going to hear her out and write notes. Once she has completed, read back to her what you heard and ask two questions 1) is this an accurate summary of what you said 2) did I miss anything of importance? once that is completed you have two options 1) Ask for time to consider what she has said, you must give her a timeline of when you will follow up with her. 2) address any part of the list of items that you too consider an issue, and clearly define your plans to address it, as well as your opinion on what parts should be each person's responsibility. For anything you have not considered ask for time to consider a solution. The most important thing is this is not the time to address your grievances, you need to have a separate fight for that. I would suggest making a list of no more than 5 times with every item being related to at least 1 other item on the list. Then tell her you would like to talk about these items at a set time (which allows her at least 4 hours of free-ish time to review and consider these items.) than proceed to discuss it. The point of every fight needs to be to solve the problem, if at any time you believe this is no longer the point of the fight you need to find a way to either get be back on course or end it so that it can be review later.
