Man ps2 was a powerhouse. From the first onimusha to this the leap is pretty good.

Classic ass game!

I played Onimusha 2 first and didn't realize it was part 2 the entire time. The game itself could've been the beginning of a the storyline for the franchise, following Jubei and the challenges he had to overcome. I played this game for years until the ps3 came out. I played part 3 but it seems like the story writer or director didn't know how to continue the story. They could've had Jubei be the main lead for part 3 with hints of Samanosuke in the game, where you finally meet him or he helps you from a distance. Being capable of playing both characters while also indirectly helping each other. Onimusha 2 has everything a game can hope for, a Warrior's Story, Love Story, Friendships' Story, Family Story, and your own Story.

I miss this game.
