Mam. If you want very low cost with good durability, i am 100% sure you wont get it. You should use marine plywood or BWR Board for kichen. Normal boards and pvc cabinets never strong enough for that. If you use pvc, you dont put heavy storage, and less fire resistance. Buy a good cabinet with BWR board and Marine plywood. It cost is 1500 to 2000rs i am sure. I dont have that problem again. Chimney bottom and hob should have a gap of 1.5 to 2ft. So that it wont do some damage. No matter how big chimney you buy, it definitely get oil stain on cabinet near it. Buy glossy laminate for cabinet. Easy to clean oil stains. I am an interior designer. I know how people attract to low cost. Please dont believe in low cost products. I can stand but not more than 2 to 5 yrs.

True madam - first do concrete slab in kitchen, and then lay granite ( civil masonry work - complete) then go for plywood ( wood work in kitchen) - this one done for last 20 yrs - good - Nowdays modular kitchen won't work out
