Absolutely loved this video. I started freaking out because i want to aupair next year and i did not know how to pay taxes. I do have a questions however. If I rrive in the USA in January for example am I only responsible to pay taxes from the date I arrived until April? Thank you again!❤
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Corine! Thank you for watching my video!❤️ Yes and no haha. You need to pay taxes from the first day you got payed on until the last day you got payed on in the year you want to file taxes on. Which is always the last year. For example: if you arrive next year (2024) on January 20th. and you stayed the whole year working in the States, then you have to file your taxes for the first time in April 2025! Then you need to file taxes from the year before (2024) - in this case from January 20th to December 31st. If you’re still staying in the States for 2026, you need to file your taxes in April 2027 for the year before (2026). I know it seems complicated but once you understand it you’ll get it!!🫶🏽

Hi, I have two questions, hope you can help me, if I send the taxes by cash is it safe? How can I prove if something happen that I pay my taxes by cash? (No check) Second question: where should I go to send the forms 1040NR and OI by post office? And what should I putt on the mail?
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Jessica! I wouldn’t recommend to pay your taxes by cash but it’s still possible! There are IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TAC) that can help you. IRS TACs that accept cash have security checkpoints to ensure your safety. I think you have to call them. Maybe you look up this page which might help you out. www.irs.gov/payments/pay-your-taxes-with-cash And if you are enclosing a payment you have to use this address: Internal Revenue Service P.O. Box 1303 Charlotte, NC 28201-1303 U.S.A. Just put the forms into an envelope and write down the address of the Internal Revenue Service and your address too. I hope I could answer your questions 🫶🏽

Heyy!
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Miriam!

You can upload them on your IRS account (if you have one) or send the forms via mail through an post office. Unfortunate I don’t think it's possible to email them. @caminharie
Hi! Don’t worry, I just sent my paper work via mail. I don’t think it’s super bad if it’s arriving after April 18th. Especially because we’re sending those forms from a foreign country. But you can also send the forms online via IRS account. But I thought it’s too complicated to create one 😅 Hope I could answer your question! 🫶🏽

@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah!

I watched this and the previous video but I’m still confused. First I need to complete the 1040NR and OI (I have printed them and completed them following your previous video). Then, I need to pay on the website that you shared on this video. My question is, what’s the next step? Should I send via post office my forms and a copy of my receipt? If I payed online should I send everything to the address in Texas? Hope you can help me!
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching both of my videos ❤️ You have to mail the forms via post office to one of the IRS offices (your case Texas cause you payed online). You do not necessarily have to put in a receipt of your payment but I would recommend to do it so the IRS office can connect your forms to your payment faster and easier. That’s how I did it the last two years. Hope I could answer your question 🫶🏽

Hi Ane! Thank you for watching my video! In line 9 you have to write down your total income of the year. In line 24 you have to write down the amount of taxes you have to pay (around 10% of your total income, look it up in the tax table). I hope I could answer your question 🤍

He! Thank you for the video. According to that IRS website, we need to fill the documents, I guess the ones you shown. on APril 15th. But, I have some questions, when do we suppose to send the documents to that office? and also, when you want to pay taxes with debit or credit card, there are a bunch of different options. What is the correct one? 1. 1040 current tax return 2022 2. 1040 prior year tax return 3. 1040 installment agreement 4. 1040 ES Estimated Tax 5. 4868 Tax Extension 6. Other types.
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Lisette! Thank you for watching my video! You both have to send the money and the documents to the IRS office before Tax day (April 18th). About the pay options: I was unsure about that too. I think I just used 1040 ES estimated Tax. I also think if that would be „wrong“ it’s not really bad that happened. I think it’s just important that you actually payed the taxes. We’re foreigners, they can be glad if we know how to file taxes in the first place 🤣

@ yes because you paid 0 estimated taxes. Google “estimated taxes”. That’s different. Estimated taxes is like small parts of your taxes that you pay during the tax year. Did you pay any of your taxes in advance during the tax year ? If your answer is no, I guess it’s a 0
@caminharie Жыл бұрын
Hi Dayana! First of all thank you so much for watching my video, I’m glad you liked it! ❤️ Second of all I would agree with what Alexa said (btw thx to Alexa for helping and answering <3). If you ask me line 26 has nothing to do w our "easy taxes" (tax situation is much more complicated if you life in the States as a resident and not as a foreigner). Also that line says something about "return" and we're not able to get something back (like a return) so I think the whole line doesn't matter to us :)
