Something i never understood was that although they're dead we know that the ability of reviving is actuslly canon with the hunter mentioning that we leaves fragments of ourselves, the snail shaman people, the moth people in the form of ghosts, and the creepy dude at the end of the first zone who brings the shadows back for you. What im saying is, do you have to be a certain level of higher being to access this ability? We know the hunter refers to the player as someone of the same kind as he is. He doesnt seem particularly frightened by us either. Considering his knowledge on the shadows is likely he has had it happen to him as well

Ok, but I feel that just recoloring or adding 4 different fractions into one charm, or adding to art to already existing charms and calling them "new" charms is a little bit off

im under that the belief that the grubs are higher beings for lots of reasons i could list later and i think that judging by the fact that the white lady doesnt even know dryaa is dead she might not notice the lack of infection and stay in her cocoon and without any higher beings having control over hallownest i feel that the grubs would turn into grubberflies and become the new leaders of hallownest maybe not as directly in charge like the pale king and more akin to Unn of having a presence and watching over the kingdom

Interesting how weavers' seal is nearly identical to the seal of binding. What were they trying to protect?

my brain kept thinking "the animal?" every time seal was said because I am such a fan of those creatures. 6:15 at the very top of the path of pain seal it looks like a door, and then below it, a keyhole (or representative of a lock), not sure if it was 100% intentional but it would be a cool extra detail ! I am going to be assigning so many interpretations to these

It is interesting how Nightmare essence is such a contrast from normal essence that seals made from nightmare essence are a deep scarlet.

I always appreciated how the seals in Hollow Knight had shapes and markings in them. Sealing spells typically have these sorts of markings. The more markings in the seal, the more potent the seal. It seems Team Cherry even took that into consideration while designing the seals of Hollow Knight.

I think that it might be contentment like how sly desired geo and thus was infected and so was myla. mask maker and the Naismith were content with their lives and occupations but what myla was doing was mining for more out of discontentment elderbub is likely uninfected because he is not in the caves as he states that the infection is down the well and thus implies that it is not within dirtmouth.

I wonder if lifeblood could easily accumulate in bugs. It is clearly a foreign thing since the extra life it gives can’t be replenished naturally. Soul is similar in that it seems to exist in finite quantities. The soul sanctum had to harvest their soul by killing bugs, with some of them holding more. Though now that I think about it maybe whatever the snail shaman are getting their heightened soul from could be a higher being.

One of the things i would change about HK is the fact that we have 45 charms and only a single one is based on Infection. I would really love a "Infected Blob" or something like that, that would multiply your damage by maybe 2, but you'd die upon getting hit... Even tho Fury of the Fallen does something way similar Still, really hate how Infection isn't that much explored, Broken Vessel would be a perfect opportunity to drop an Infection-based charm

All of the connections seem pretty solid and a lot of charms have a lot of reason to have been connected to a specific boss, but some of the explanations didn't paint a good argument imo; like, it feels like quite a few explanations missed out on bringing up some details that would make the boss-charm connection stronger Though this is an opinion video, so the reasons don't *have* to be "good"; but it still kind of felt like some connections that you might have made could have been missed and not brought up Anyway, fun video :p

That reminded me of one comic I found, where after the pantheon ending void took over the dreams of all infected creatures, so they were not aggressive zombies anymore, but instead they couldn't sustain their memory almost as if they had amnesia and couldn't memorize anything.

New higher being just dropped: the GOD TUNA

So far there are 4 siple keys in the game: One Sly probably found around Dirtmouth that opens Jiji's house; One in the City of tears, probably ment to open the sewers as otherwise it wouldn't be left in the storerooms. Then there are two keys: the one that the Pale Lurker has, and the one that a dead royal retainer carries in Deepnest. Also there are two simple locks left: one at the Godseeker's sarcophagus and one locking the entrance to the pleasure house. What i think is, the Godseeker might have reached Hallownest before it's fall, so the Pale King locked them away because they worshipped the Radiance and sent one of his dependents to to hide or destroy the key. That means that the Pale Lurker has found the key from the pleasure house, that was likely washed away to the kingdom's edge through the sewers after Hallownest fell.

Tbh I would love to see a vessel in Silksong, maybe just as one of the villagers. It could be a defected vessel with a voice, that wandered to Pharloom through the surface and lost all their memories, so they just kinda live their life not even knowing what the Hallownest is.

2:02 I unfortunately caught some spoilers before playing the game, so i already knew what the infection is, and on my first playthrough I immediately noticed that the wall Myla is mining emmits a bright orange glow. What I think is, it could be possible that both Sly and Bretta were getting infected in their sleep, so knight only needs to wake them up to save them from the infection. Myla, however, was not sleeping, so she maght have been infected because of constant exposure to the Radiance's light coming through the wall, and because of that knigt can't just "shake her out of it".
