Swiatek really needs to learn how to flatten those groundstrokes out, especially on a fast court like this one. The rest of the wta tour is really climbing on those loopy shots, especially her forehand. Kudos to Kalinskaya, well done!

Parks seems to be improving, just wish she would show that she is enjoying herself, playing the game a bit more often, rather than looking so intense and under pressure on every play. I luv to see her point her finger to the heavens. She, I hope will gather herself, and take a look into her personality, and drop a bit some of the seemingly "hood" mentality on court, and just kick a~~ , come next yr. She's got the game and all the qualities to be a much much better than she is, still. I personally can not wait to see her do great, come 2025. And silence THE NAY SAYERS with THEIR negativities; IN TRYING to keep her down. I hope she will just MOVE ON UP, and keep them quiet.

Definitely one the biggest upsets of last season 😳😳🎆🦋🦃🎂🎂🎂🎂♥️ But this what Kalinskya can do when she's not hobbled by injury which she was the previous season and plus her relationship with her coach is quite solid which also helps 🙂🍟🍟🍟🍟🍟✌️😎🌆🎮🦋⭐ Expect her to have really solid 2025 if both trends hold 💵🙂♥️

Anna gets way too much attention for her looks, but it's her game that is so impressive. I've seen her lose many matches due to inconsistencies, but ahe was focused and very calm vs Iga. Iga's pattern of going for desperate winners when pressed is already quite predictable. Anna us really coming along now.

I hoped, that this year WTA/ATP/ITF, would stop this nonsense of mixing sport with politics. Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. Appointing "flag police" at tennis tournaments is not even childish... it is embarrassing and insane... Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Pakistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? USA invaded Iraq in 2003 and yet their flag was still allowed at the World Cup 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa despite the fact they were still in Iraq. Either ban ALL flags of countries who go to war, or don't ban any of them. Interestingly enough Israeli tennis players Mika Buchnik and Guy Sasson are allowed to play under the national flag in AO 2024 despite the policy of their government towards Palestinians in Gaza. *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.

Unfortunately sport and politics are intermeshed. Russia will show her sports people winning competitions as it shows itself as strong and as an accepted member of the world community. This is not the image we want Russia to portray to it's people. Banning it's sports people from playing shows everyday Russians that their countries behaviour is not accepted. Perhaps individual players could be allowed to play if they wear shirts showing supporting Ukraine.

@@mikebikekite1 That's right: "All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others." *** Please, do some homework regarding origins of this civil war between Ukrainians who support the 2014 putsch (backed by the West) and the Ukrainianz opposing it (backed by RF). I have relatives fighting on both sides. *** Here in Odessa we are afraid of being hunted down by the Zelensky's press gangs, who forcibly "recruit" 25-60 year old men (possibly 18-24 very soon) in our streets, shopping malls, restaurants, fitness clubs public transport, roadblocks... and - recently in night clubs, pubs and even at the rock concerts. The only men not press ganged into Ukrainian Army are relatives of politicians and ... grave diggers. I rest my case. Привіт Тобі з окупованої бандерівською сволотою Одеси

Well, you are spot on , the trouble is that all major sporting events around the world are organised, directed and sponsored by western entities that are clearly biased against Russia, which in this case, is the bad guy that needs to be punished....

Man... plays "frustrating" tennis but Jan... "frustrated" herself by rushing things, coming into the net at the wrong time, not using the short angles, playing high topspin is right in the zone of a slice forehand. IMO. Not a hater...
@shan-tennisКүн бұрын
curious why you would call her tennis frustrating? because of the high topspin ? also what changes would you do to her game ?
@douglasvdmerwe11Күн бұрын
The lady with slice forehand has a game style that will frustrate most players. I'm not saying that she must change her style of play.
@douglasvdmerwe11Күн бұрын
The other lady with the topspin forehand seems to stick to her topspin. I would have tried to play low slices until I get a higher ball back that I can dictate play and choose my spot where I want to hit. Keeping it out of the strike zone of the slice forehand lasy
@douglasvdmerwe11Күн бұрын
The topspin lady seemed to rush things, going to the net on the wrong approach shot. With players that play slice forehand, you need to be patient and wait for right ball
