Glad you enjoyed it! You can add a radio station! - The easiest way to do it is via adding in an Apple Music command (Play Music, and add Radio as the variable) If useful we can put together a short tutorial?

Absolutely! Instead of using the Apple News RSS link, try one of these: rss.feedspot.com/world_news_rss_feeds/ You can theoretically use any RSS link, it doesn’t have to be news!

Steven, thank you for a very good tutorial. Do you know if there’s a way to use the intercom in a HomeKit scene to read out text? For instance, if my water sensor detects a leak in my bathroom I’d like to be able to have the speakers say that “There is a water leak in the master bathroom.”

I wish Siri on HomePod spoke Portuguese. Makes no sense since it does already on Apple TV, which shares the OS.

The lack of a unified Siri experience is baffling, especially on devices like HomePod which you think would have the most support, given that it is the primary way you interact with it! I hope Apple gets this sorted for you soon!

Hi Stephen - S4UK - Onvis Recommends a Critical Update to make the Plugs Stable - but it is technically very difficult to do this update oven when using the IOS Onvis iPhone APP. No You Tuber has yet issued a Video on how to do the Update. I have searched S4 Update on You Tube and Nothing comes up.

If you’re looking for Siri to do more now, have you considered integrating ChatGPT via a Shortcut? We’ve made a detailed tutorial that is triggered by saying “Hey Siri Ultra” which then bridges the gap with ChatGPT Hopefully we see native ChatGPT integrated with Siri across all Apple devices very soon!

I doubt they'll use the S10 chip as I believe that doesn't support Apple Intelligence, more likely to be A17 Pro chips ready for Siri 2.0 and AI

I think Apple will be really being exceptionally generous if that give anything like an A17 chip for the HomePod Mini 2 - there’s already high demand and difficulty in getting these high end chips manufactured and Apple will be looking to get the most out of their existing supply chains. Remember, just the A17 chip probably costs Apple around $30-40 to make and the retail price of the HomePod Mini 2 will probably be around $99-120 However, I reckon you might be right for the new higher end HomePod line up. My personal guess would be that might we see something like the A14 or A15 for the rumoured HomePod Max (with a screen).

We’ve not got a set of Nanoleaf shapes to demo for this sadly Mark… But, I do know how to do this: if you press and hold the power button and the + button for 10 seconds, and release - they will be reset. Importantly, don’t forget to then remove Shapes from the Nanoleaf app! (Their Canvas - which we do have - also requires this!) Hope it helps and thanks for subscribing!

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I just spent an hour doing this. There are a few changes in the steps but they're still useful in 2025! My problem is that the Set Audio Playback automation isn't working. The sound isn't automatically being transferred to my Homepod. What am I doing wrong? Does it have anything to do with my iPhone's airplay settings?

You will need your iPhone (or other device) connected to the same WiFi for this to work (essentially what this is, is a shortcut to use ChatGPT) With iOS18, there is now natively integration with ChatGPT so, you may find less value in setting this up today as opposed to when the video went up! If it would be helpful, I can make a video on how to connect ChatGPT directly into your OS device (it’s very simple once you know where to look!)

As a general rule, our shortcuts focus on iPhone and iPad - because some functions of Shortcuts can’t be used on MacOS We’ve got a follow up video coming in a few weeks with a fix for the broken iOS 14 “set playback destination” but it can only be built on iPhone/iPad

Onvis announce these plugs as compatible with many different vendors of Matter Thread Routers, but when there are updates available, then only Apple Home can be used to update the devices. These updates can be critical for the functionality of the device and they have already announced such critical updates for some of their Matter plugs. Not being able to update the device can mean you have a device that will either malfunction or even worse pull the entire Matter Thread network down. Avoid these plugs, until they have a method for updating the devices on all Matter setups!

There is on the back a little screw hole - a small nail or screw would allow you to hang it up very easily! Alternatively, a no damage command strip would be able to take the weight!

The filters don’t need changing as there are non to replace. You mean the pump filter could get blocked and display an error message. Nothing one can do on the move here as it’s NFC and only works with the phone up against the appliance.

I wanted a temp/humidity sensor with an onboard display. I'm not worried about the air quality bit, since I live in the tropics and windows and doors are open most of the time. For my use case, it works great, and wasn't too expensive for what I wanted to accomplish.
