I drove my 2022 Tesla Y from Netherlands to the Sahara sand dunes of Morocco towing a 1325 kg caravan. OK, I did not drive all the way; car ferries. I only used my backup propane generator 3 times. I stopped by the Fes supercharger because a charger was broken on my path. Only supercharger city in 2 months. Some campgrounds were down around 5 kw charging rate but I always found something to do. I am now near the civilized Atlantic coast so expect a quick trip to the ferry. Many places I stayed have never had an ev vehicle or a Tesla. Many people took photos. Another thing; this is a US tesla with US plates. I confirm that Moroccans are welcoming and helpful. Only one place did I get overcharged. Most had no idea what to charge so I volunteered European prices which makes them a nice acceptable profit. I spent almost no time in cities. Challenging with any ev; towing a caravan, more challenging but doable. I would not do it without a backup generator to make the Tesla hybrid.

Taxes are much higher than mentioned in the video. Dint forget, the appartement is just that... no water, heating or electricity at that point. I dont see how I should be able to safe about 17k a year. Maybe just eat pastaand stay at home, no car and no hobbies that cost something

Well I'm from the UK and renting over there sounds cheaper than the UK. A small flat with bill's is about 1400 a month. This video is out of date, you would have to be a halfwit not to live well over there. Things in the UK are terrible, even second hand shops are full now

Took our EV6 there this year. Used IONITY and Tesla on the outward journey and granny only whilst there. Only used Tesla on the return journey. So easy and cheap with the membership.

Miio is garbage, they charge an enormous mark up on the base rate from the provider. For example, Lidl charging is €0.09 per kWh (if you are a Portuguese resident with a domestic electricity RFID card) but €0.50 if you use Miio. It's a joke. Better to use Electroverse.

I'm always very surprised how expensive it is to charge your car in Portugal. its more expensive then driving a diesel car/km i only charged 1 time at the tesla charger that was way cheaper then any other charger i used. + i had many problems with charging in Portugal
