Years ago I went to the Central Coast NSW and I saw these all featured on a street. It was a stunning display to rival any European garden. Hard to find where I live.

Help Please🤦🏼♀️ I have one that was glorious. About 4 1/2 ft tall & about 5 1/2 ft wide. Extremely happy growing in huge planter, for about three years. It was absolutely gorgeous, Unfortunately a few days ago we had terrible winds here in NYC and to my surprise, It was knocked over. It was so heavy that I never dreamed it could ever be knock down but wind. I didn’t notice it until the next day and unfortunately lots of branches broke now I have a huge gap in the middle. can you please advise me what should I do to help it I’m so so sad, it was the Queen of my Backyard Garden. I used to have a yellow rhododendron in Seattle. WA. Didn't know its name, but it was beautiful.

I bought some of these yesterday. I'm confused now because I've been reading differing information. I'm in Queensland - are these annuals or perennials? I thought they were perennials.

No plant is able to pick up atmospheric Nitrogen and fix it on to their tissue. Nitrogen fixing is done by bacteria that live in the roots of leguminous plants. It is this bacteria that transform nitrogen into a form which plants can use (NH3 or NH4). When the plant dies and decomposes, it is able to feed other plants as the Nitrogen that was fixed on their tissue becomes available again.

Toona leaves, which only available in spring is used extensively in Chinese cooking. My favorite recipe is toona leaves, soft tofu and thousand year old egg salad drizzled with sesame oil.
