Yes, you can take a bus or taxi. But in our case, our hotel arranged a shuttle bus for us.

Hello, kabayan. Maganda sa Turkey. For the sake of everyone, let me share some tips in English. Definitely, you and your family will enjoy every bit of it. If you will be staying in Istanbul for the most part of your trip, don't forget to purchase the Istanbulkart card. One card can be shared with up to 4 people at the same time. There will be a lot of walks, so wear a pair of comfortable shoes. If you can, visit Cappadocia. Most of all, take your time to enjoy every stop. Enjoy 🫡

Based on our experience, there is no direct bus that will take you all the way to the Sultanahmet area. You need to take the tram to get closer to where your hotel is. Hope that helps. 🙂

Unfortunately, it does not. After taking the metro to Kagithane station, you need to ride a bus outside the Kagithane station to Karakoy bus stop. Then from there, you need to take a tram from Karakoy to Sultanahmet. You can use your Istanbulkart transpprt card for all these rides. Make sure it has enough credit balance.

@@EmbodiedNarratives Important update: The U1/M11 metro from the Airport has been extended to Gayrettepe, which enables passengers to directly transfer to the M2 line to Taksim and beyond, as well as the Metrobus. No need to exit in Kagithane anymore, unless you want to reach destinations along the M7 line.
