Go on a, place called ModDB. Then search up Battlestations pacific and go into the big 12 gigabyte Kantai Kessen download. I'm pretty sure you just drag and drop it in. Then download the Shinano bug fix from the same guy which will add the Shinano carrier and a few fixes. Also drag and drop. If it asks something along the lines of "These files are already here, replace?" Then just say yes

That is because no battlecarrier was made ground up as one, that is the difference between a conversion and a dedicated one. The idea is a carrier that can conduct direct assault on other ships and bombard land targets as well as offering a decent airwing.

Don't forget this ship is similar in size to the Iowa and Montana designs, those were capable of 33knts or about 60kph, you only got to get up to 140 for an F6F to take off, the F4F was even slower take off speed.

The ship was designed to be close to 70 thousand tons so it is larger than you think plus late war aircraft with small payloads had short-ish takeoffs and arrestor cables were in use already for landing
