Also...The aggressive pursuit of comfort and leisure is what's prematurely aging and killing people. Maintain a comfortable level of athleticism throughout your life so you can grow old and still be strong and agile, not weak and fragile. Agile. Not fragile. For as long as possible.

The suburbs are a village if your family is right there as yours is… this IS normal, everything else is abnormal and maybe even “anti” normal. Americans lived like this once upon a time too! We’re not that different from the rest of the old world… we’re being forced to change so quickly, alas… we are not ready to be “weaned” off of our families if we’re honest with ourselves, nor should we be! What a blessing, so happy for y’all and hope both sides of mine and my husband’s families can work toward this, God willing.

I loved seeing these two on your show!!! What they share and the wisdom they provide is hands down life changing for new moms (and all parents in all seasons!!!). My mom bought the NOEL Method Course for me when I was pregnant with our first 5 years ago and looking back I always view what I gained from that course as the most foundational gift we received before bringing our first baby into the world. 🤍

I came across baby led weaning when my second refused to be feed by me. It was a game changer for me and my dogs lol. I take more of baby led weaning as technique not diet recommendation. With my first I made all my own baby purées. When I started to feed my children I only wanted the best for them and that’s when I really got a lot of momentum on my real food journey. My fifth is almost 9 months old and her first foods were egg yoke off my fingers and liver I cooked, cut in strips and froze some. She would naw on the liver cold was nice when teething. 95% of the time she eats what we’re eating. It’s my understanding that baby’s gage reflex is higher up there tongue.

Enjoyed this episode! I'm also currently pregnant with my 2nd and I have to say it would be an absolute dream to give birth at home. Such a dream! But I don't have an upstairs and I think the screaming i know I will do as I push will terrify everyone in the house. 🫠😵💫 And I'm just too afraid to have a home birth but I so admire any mom who does! Praying for a safe and healthy baby, mom and delivery for you Liz. ❤

Your natures Gatorade sounds good. Would you mind sharing the ratio of coconut water/ lemon juice/ salt? It frustrates the heck out of me the way they handled giving birth at the hospital during covid. Making Moms labor with a masks on? 🤯😠 I could go on but ill stop there .

We lived in Southern California when our girls were growing up. We didn’t let them do much in our neighborhood because of my fears of them being kidnapped. But we would go camping/dirt bike riding and the kids would take off in small groups riding dirt bikes. No adults. They learned independence, navigation, some mechanics, and first aid. One thing we did at home probably started at 5, they helped with grocery shopping and they would pay. I would send them down the aisles to get the items. Also, when they started to drive. Dad made sure they knew how to change the oil, fluids, tires.

God was definitely speaking to me through this episode! I have been feeling so overwhelmed as a mom and haven't been able to enjoy being home with my youngest; it's gotten so bad that I've began blaming my family. I realized I was in the mindset of "just let me do it because I'll do it right." We also live in an apartment so taking charge of my space is a way I use to make it feel "mine". Now I realize our space will become our home by all of us working together to make it the family's.

In Europe we have 30 km/h signs. Where in Cadada you drive 50 and then slow down depending on situationen but that makes it more difficult for kids to cross the street. Cars don't stop at the Zebrastripes, only if you push a button but only adults can see if their light is turned on and they might stop because its too high and even then they might not stop. Kids schedule their own playdates because they can walk or bike there in nordic countries but america and canada adults drive the kids often because walking across town can take 45 min for a child. And almost all schools are mixed with kids from all backgrounds, parents would like to get to know the other parents and not find out they smoke weed in front of their kids.

Correct me if i am wrong. Playground in european or nordic countries are safer , not as high and as risky. And fenced in. In canada I had a big plaground with some playstructures for 6-12 years olds where my toddler wanted to go and do what their older sibling does. Their are bigger and farther apart (the playstructures, swings) so the toddler can run off 100 meters away from you to other adults you dont know or youth hanging out at the playground. Everything is farther apart and for kids to walk to school its not always safe compared to europe where there are sidewalks or even bikelanes on the sidewalks where kids can safely ride the bike to school. We get up to -30 Degrees Celsius so being outside too long can kill you. I grew up in Europe and was very independent from 6 years old. Here in canada the infrastructure is different.

I would really like to hear every word this enlightened farmer has to say. At the beginning of every conversation his words were cut off and distorted. This sounds like this is before the speaker guest moves close to his microphone. I just subscribed and hope to hear from this gentileman again. Fyi, now, the sound has gone compleately.

Love this- I sourced my raw milk from a dairy farm near me (in Ohio) over a year ago and I drink 3 gallons per month on my own. I feel amazingly healthy. I am hesitant to give a lot of it to my kids because people act like it’s so risky even though I toured my farm and trust them. Going to let my kids drink it more.
