Im playing kaido myself so this is great! On turn 6 of game 2 before you swing with kaido for 13 i would have played out law and queen. Queen first to see if the cards change anything then law to force 2 cards out of their hand. Could mean the difference in counters

A couple of things I noticed in the first game: On the turn prior to 10 drop you should have blocked the first swing with queen so your opponent could focus on that and not your life. You don't wanna summon 10 drop kaido with only one life because you're very open to a clap back by rush zoro or kid/killer, this is true for other opponents as well. On the turn after you summoned the 10 drop since you were at 7 don and your opponent was at 9 you could have summoned blocker sanji for 3 don and played the searcher for a 2k. You could have used the rest of your don to swing 8 and 12 and your opponent has to give you the kid blocker.

You could have used the event to try to search ragnarok to pop the kid trash the life and swing 12. probably one of the only ways out in game 1.

As for the G5 / Shanks ratio, i run 2 / 2 but ive seen anywhere from 2 / 3 and 3 / 3 2 of each works well for me aso running WB and Kid, 2 banish Zoros if you have nothing to play on 6 curve (going 1st and ramping 3>4 for Zoro on 6 is very good) & i never play this deck without 2 jambes, having one on your G5 lethal just secures games

Try out lead performer instead of Hawkins. It's so much better for a lot of reasons. Draw 1 and gain 1 active Don, and has a trigger eff.

I do like lead performer - deck is low on counter that’s why I just used Hawkins - but will try it out - appreciate the advice 💯

@@Dragon_Amenz I get that. Personally I don't have any issues with needing counter. I even play with only sanji blocker as my only 2K and run 3 rad beam and 4 gatling, and don't feel like I need more counter. Taking out the franky 2K let's me slot in shanks for the Bonney/Enel matchup and add 3 of for dragon.

i think bon clay is better but until his price drops i run basil for the 1k counter ramp and trigger, doesnt happen often but when it does it really slaps, its not like other ramp cards have a board presence anyways

16:07 You actually didn't make a misplay here. Since his previous life was flipped face up, you knew that one card in his hand was the Linlin with no counter. So the most he could've had was 2K counter. Great video, really interested in this deck for OP-08!

I think it is glass cannon but it can be consist glass canon with the right ratios of ramp cards & big bodies

34:55 I think you should have left him at one life and ended your turn on account of a potential trigger. With your board and his hand size you had lethal next turn.
