You can buy inserts for those trays too, they fit perfect and are semi hard so they don't move around like a bag does

I like it. But I can't envision how to build the platform without.... a platform! In my case the far end of the structure will be 12' high. Once I place the upright 2x4s I have no way to get 12' up in the stairwell to place the platform. Maybe a video of the building of the project step by step? Thanks.

Step 1: Press those wire strippers against a grinding wheel until you have nothing left... Step 2: Get a set of real wire strippers and a diagonal cutter Step 3: Get some tubing that fills the gap between the cord and plug that will act as a strain relief.

I have a slanting floor in my 1860s cottage, where the brick walls are set on the ground and basically seperate from the floor. Would it be better to apply this method or get someone in to restump?
@Housebarons3 күн бұрын
Hey Duck, The method in this video is more last resort. If you can get into a basement or crawl space and address the slanting condition of the floors that way ( be presupposing or jacking) it’s far better long term. Hope that helps. Thx for watching!

I don't now about the US but Australian and the UK plugs come with the instruction that specifies the exact length of which wire to strip off to get the job done properly. Initially I disregarded the instruction and always had some hassle to fit wires nicely till it was explained to me by a qualified person. So I've been paying attention to the instructions since then.

Nice. My mower will variably run 15-30 minutes depending on it's mood, although the indicator only shows one bar when it stops. Kobalt is proud of these packs, and cheap aftermarket assemblies are still $120-$150. Maybe I'll both get a replacement and rebuild the old one so I can have two batteries.

Do you think you would need a gasket if you used seam tape to seal around the opening? I would use duct tape around the hole first to soften the edge.
@Housebarons5 күн бұрын
Hey Joseph, Water is SO pervasive, I think the gasket of Lexan is necessary. You could try tape, but personally, I don’t think it will work long term. I did not just use the Lexan gasket but also used the marine sealant. I think the gasket would also fail w/o the sealant. If you find a different way that works, be sure and let us know in the comments so readers can try other ideas. Thanks for the comment and for watching!

This video confirms what I am hearing about 100+ year old homes. There is no easy fix to getting them insulated. I'm glad I watched this before trying the more simple fix of injecting insulation behind my old decrepit siding.

Those century homes are nice - but complex 😃
@user-co8lh4ce1s6 күн бұрын
Thinking long term, do you plan on taking the time to go and get the pipe wrench every time you attach the hose? After buggering the hose fitting with sharp burrs,you won't be inclined to attach the hose with your bare hands.They have adjustable wrenches for use on hexagonal fittings. The right tool for this job.

if your gonna renovate an old previously uninsulated house your just asking for rot the insulation will hold moisture moisture barriers on the inside of the walls do absolutely nothing for preventing rot the best way to prevent an ingress of moisture is to remove the siding and wrap the the house in tar paper thats the best way tyvek will work to but it will cost you and arm and leg remember tar paper is used on roofs under the shingles and its sole purpose is to keep water out

I've owned maybe 3 or 4 of these Charbroil grills over the last 30 years or so. Dollar for dollar, I would buy these anytime at the lower price point before I would lay out money on an expensive gas grill. If you keep them maintained, cleaned, covered, etc, you will get 1,000 cooks out of them.

So you have to leave the beams in place forever? I mean assuming you replace the jack beams with 4x4's or something one piece and solid. That will kill my basement space :(

Depending on the horizontal support beam length, it might be possible to keep the posts much nearer the exterior walls. But the space wasn’t much of a concern for us. Thx for watching!

I wonder if this cable can be hid through a generic plastic protective conduit that electricians use? I have one and I'm wondering if I can hide the cable through it. The "thing" at the end of this cable seems thick to me to pull through.
