amazing. its on steam now but since some recent situations with steams lack of respect to it's clients I will wait for it to be on GOG. I was thrilled to see it's "to be announced".

It's a great fun game, but i feel that WayForward played it safe with this game. I feel they could have done a little more with it, considering the game's director it the creator of Shantae. I did love all the Atari easter eggs and all the hacking mini games. I do hope they get a chance for a sequel to really let loose.

Simply because of the games theme I do hope it does well - I tried taking a look at it on this laptop Ive currently got to use and although Its got a gorgeous pastel paint color scheme the controls just arent real great and I lost interest in it in less than ten minutes when it made me think of skyrims hoop jumping puzzle solving problems too much and it just wasnt able to captivate my interest for more than that. Being an indie game Im not expecting to see any tech updates but its a great starting title for the developers at any rate

man i hate to be that person but these animations look so ass when you've already played actual good 2.5D games like metroid dread or prince of persia the lost crown. if you can't make smooth 3D animations, don't make a game with 3D visuals

I have to agree that it feels clunky, but when playing is not so bad. The game gains points with the small puzzles and new mechanics earned when hacking some terminals.

I finally got passed the location with the ascending item, but I could not figure out how to beat the last location. The game tells you to exit the sub, but then a shark just eats me. I don't know what to do after exiting.

Getting inspired by a game is not an issue. A good 80 percent or so melee MVs came out of after Hollow Knight did get at least one or two mechanics directly from HK. So games resemble HK quite a lot in terms UI, the feel of it etc. The gaming community is more upset with the deviator developers than any other “inspired” game, the reason being they literally plagiarised the art style, UI, move mechanics, enemy sprites, background like almost one to one. They even admitted it openly. The developers said “we are a small team of only 5 people, we only have limited resources to come up with our own artwork” Not even realising the fact that Team Cherry (hollow knight developers) are even a smaller team of only 3 people and most of the game was developed by only 2 people. 1 person to code and 1 person to do the art work pen on actual paper and scan it on computer kind of way. They revolutionised the whole genre, exact extreme opposite ends of two different teams. They are Australians living in Australia btw (team cherry) not a huge team with ton of resources at all. Imagine doing this with a song, copying the music one to one but changing the lyrics (or adding lyrics from another song like adding parry from Nine Sols on top of HK looks, feel and mechanics)

- not enemy sprites past the first like one area - not backgrounds plus beyond the very early areas it generally looks very different. and anyway, they clearly have immensely talented artists. the game looks phenomenal. if you can give me more pointers especially later in the game where its obviously copied by hollow knight

Totally fine with this being a clone. Saw some people were getting mad about it in the steam reviews, genshin stole the art style from BOTW, palworld took the pokemon concept and added guns. This just seems like a continuation of that.

Cool channel! Love the idea of quick reviews for new games! One immediate piece of feedback I'd like to share is that the Game audio competes very much with the Voice Over. Maybe in future review videos you can turn down the game volume by a bit to allow your voice to be heard more easily? Anyway, looking forward to seeing more videos!
