I actually really love the Argentine version of Ernst and Hänschen. It’s humorous but there still a tenderness and genuine love in that performance

Loved Deaf West's production with Josh and Andy!!

I like Andy's way of saying "and so you should" nicely (as in, Ernst deserves to love) in this clip

When I realized these videos were posted before the Deaf West production existed, a LOT fell into place

The only bootleg I've seen is the deaf west one, in which this is treated like a serious scene, so the 'comedy' interpretations of the other directors (and audiences) just seem wrong to me

I strive for Doyle's Hanschen's confidence haha

i like the deaf west version because i feel like in the original broadway version, the reason the audience is laughing is because of the homosexual nature, whilst in deaf west, they are laughing at the actual character dynamic between ernst and hanschen. i also just love andy mientus and josh castille :)

My personal favorite is the Deaf West cast with Andy, Jonathan, and Daniel just because the sign language is so pretty and their voices are so good and I'm in love with them. Andy and Ben (both Ben M. and Ben F.) are probably my second favorite.

Why were there so many Johnathans in the original cast?

I much prefer the English couple played by the Harry and Jamie. They both injected humor plus Harry is adorable.
