This looks so fun!!! I see they have different level kits. Which one is the one you’re using?

Thank you for this walk through! We did Beautiful Feet last year for our first year of homeschooling, we did early American history which goes through the Civil War -- For jumping in to Biblioplan this year, should we continue chronologically into Modern History or should we start in year 1 of the cycle? (2nd and 5th graders) What would you recommend? Thank you!!

When you say you want to read 250 books, is that including books that your children will read on their own or are these all books that you or your husband will read out loud to them? Or maybe including audiobooks?
@PlanPrepPray6 күн бұрын
This includes audiobooks, books that kids read on their own, books that my husband and I read on our own, books that we read to littles, and books that older kids read to littles.

We have loved CLE for years now, parti for Language Arts, Reading, and Math. It's very thorough, affordable, and helps children work independently. Love them!

After years of dealing with the mountains and avalanches, we had the extra money to buy those sorting bins, and I ditched the hampers. They are good on space, attractive, and color coded. There are handles to carry them down to the laundry area. It's not perfect, especially whenever we have a busy week but it keeps that monster at bay. We do have a clean clothes basket to bring up our things, one load at a time. Sort them on my bed and kids take their clothes. My clothes don't get folded. If I need to iron I do that when it's needed but that is how I cut time.

I definitely experienced the math struggle with my daughter our first year of homeschool. When you find something that works, you realize the difference between doing hard things and even that productive struggle versus frustration and overwhelm…there is a big difference. My daughter says that math is her favorite subject now🥰 Thank you for your video! Definitely good things to keep in mind with math!

Hi! These all sound great and a lot of them were on my list for this year however you convinced me to give CLE a try and so I’ve been looking at the CLE curriculum and I’m just curious do you not use it for fifth grade? Or do some of your children use it and others do not?
@PlanPrepPray15 күн бұрын
Some of my children use it and others don't. I plan to use it for two of my children next year and two of my friend's children. So, in total, I will be homeschooling 4 children using CLE next year.

Wow! I needed these videos! I’m considering CLE for our family of 8 kids. We are in a very difficult season of life caring for my mother and father in law who have major health issues/stage 4 cancer. We NEED open and go and resources that my husband can take over if I’m called away to the hospital. ❤

First time seeing your video and I absolutely love this! I wrote each down as a reminder for me throughout the year♥️. We’re going into year 7 of homeschooling and these hacks are so important to keep in mind… always 😆. I immediately subscribed when you said “practice not master patience”.. that’s a word! 😂

My kids like to color the pictures in the LightUnits, too 😊. It's actually convenient because it gives me time to work with the other kid. I agree that the layout is simple and not distracting, but still pleasant.

I just ordered CLE for preschool, first and fourth grade. I’m excited to try it out next year! Also I ordered 2 of something and an answer key they emailed me to see if it was intentional and to let me know I wouldn’t need the answer key along with the teachers guide. I really appreciated that customer service!

I’m a teacher but I’m still super nervous about home schooling my kiddos. A lot of the tips you gave, I use in my classroom. So great job mama!! One thing I learned in the classroom (keep lessons short) is to try not to talk or lecture longer than the child’s age. So for a 10 year old, I would lecture 10 minutes, and then begin hands on practice or a video or a writing or discussion, anything but lecturing.
@PlanPrepPray20 күн бұрын
Hey there, teacher-mama! Don't worry, you're not alone in feeling nervous about homeschooling. Just take it one day at a time and remember to give yourself some credit. You're doing great! Also thanks for the tip, I love that its simple and easy to remember.
