There are also buses from the Airport that are considerably cheaper than the airport express train. I use the bus when I visit. Bolo bao, or pineapple bun, is a very popular snack in Hong Kong. It doesn't actually contain any pineapple, it's name comes from its appearance. There is also a bus from Central Piers that goes up to the Peak, number 15 (and X15). Po Lin Monastery isn't on the metro system. The MTR station where the cable car and bus station are located is Tung Chung. I use and recommend the Octopus card, Hong Kong's rechargeable fares payment card which is also available as a mobile download. The card can be used for pay public transport fares and for purchases in many shops and eateries around Hong Kong.

I'm surprised that there's a section they've built that you can go in and not be roped off from things. Knowing people, they'll knick everything they can get their hands on. Question: did you see Dwight Schrute when you were there?

It's incredibly special to be able to walk through the set without restrictions. Hopefully, everyone keeps respecting the space, so that can continue. No Dwight Schrute this time. Thanks for watching :)

Well done going to Manly. It is my favourite Sydney beach. That probably is because I spent my first 12 months in Manly and my family then moved into a new house in North Manly. This was in 1950 and our new house had a long wait for tiles for the roof so we had a Malthoid (tar paper) roof for my second year on the planet until the tiles turned up. There are many great beaches north of Manly including Harbord, Curl Curl, Collaroy, Narrabeen, Mona Vale, etc up to Palm Beach. And one bus trip from Wynyard in the city will take you to most of these beaches. Mike in Oz

Now in my late 70's and basically lived in Sydney for that period. Good that you found the Manly Ferry trip - much cheaper than a harbour cruise and more relaxing. Another good trip is to Mosman, which takes you into a narrow Harbour bay on an ordinary commuter ferry. It's just a there and back, but very different views of a part of Sydney most tourists miss. There's a cafe which sells light food while you relax and look out onto a peaceful view
