My son is in 5th grade and he is struggling with multiplication. I am thinking about going back to level 3 with math lessons for a living education. I pulled him out of public school because he was one of the kids who fell between the cracks and now he is getting ready for 6th grade and can't grasp multiplication and division. What do you suggest?

I would start with placement (readiness) test first. Depending on the results, I would say 3 or maybe 4 would be good place to start. If he’s struggling with the concepts (vs memorization of facts) I can imagine it is affecting his confidence. He’s probably in bad brain, which is only cured by building confidence and changed mindset. I’d get him placed correctly, then have him work at his own speed, using the master books academy course as soon as possible.
