Thank you its lovely, check out my other 2 videos from that ride, Osmington mills and Sutton Poynts really lovely views
I had an XBR500 around 1990. Very nice bike, I remember mine had a problem with the engine at idle revving far too much, no matter what. Unfortunately it then was stolen (parked by my house), and I did not ride a motorcycle for about 6 years after that (being a student). (Now I have a brand new V Strom 650A, after a Varadero 1000, VFR750, CBR1000 and an XT500.) Now and then I see an XBR500, last week at a motorshop nearby. The original wheels have really really very distinctive look. I dont know of another bike with Comstar wheels with holes in it.

@@harrier331 The engine was to be mounted horizontaly with the intakes each side, the bleed air output was changed so it was lined up with the top, from there it would have gone to the afterburner, the rolling chassis with frame and steering would have bolted to the front and rear of the engine

How tricky is the XBR for a tank swap for someone with no welding ability? Was there much work to get your CX tank on? I've seen 400/4 and 400N tanks going on, but can't get any info. Many thanks.
@JOOLZNED6 жыл бұрын
CX500 tank fits straight on with no welding, however you need to change the front mounting rubbers for wider ones or stick some washers to bring out the standard ones further and the rear mounting tab on the tank needs to be cut shorter, easy mod go for it :)

@@JOOLZNED Great news and thanks for sharing your knowledge! Having seen this particular CB350 custom, I'm going to try to get the XBR as close as I can; www.hellkustom.com/2015/08/honda-cb350-by-voodoo-custom-cycles.html I think the CX tank should work well? - the CB350 tank is much shorter - I'll give the tuck 'n roll cover a good go, which "just" leaves side panels and 33mm fork shrouds. The XBR reverse boomerangs are staying to see what look they produce. Cheers again!
