Kind of silly, really. The President has no authority to dissolve the country. The country was established by the Congress and consented to by the various states. It could not be dissolved with any other authority; Congress and the states would have to consent.

Utter rubbish. Even in an emergency the President doesn't have this power. Only a Constitutional convention could accomplish this. It happened once before in 1787 and it took extreme circumstances to cause that. The bar since then has been raised. This is a scenario that won't play out. It doesn't even make good fiction.

This doesn't even make any sense. How can you say the nation is dissolved (which is impossible to do officially), then a few sentences later "call upon the people of this great nation", when it just got dissolved. A laughable attempt at alternate history.

Kind of reminds me of the pilot episode of an old TV show called Sliders where people "slide" to alternate timelines of Earth. One of the first timelines they visit is where the US lost the Cold War and by 1995 has been reformed as a Stalinistic country.

This is the second timeI’ve seen this, but it just occurred to me that no President, Congress, nor the Supreme Court has the Constitutional authority to dissolve the USA.

I like the subtle things. “East vs West, Communism vs Democracy” is the antithesis of the cold war framing of the U.S., in the sense that the U.S. would argue it’s West vs East, Democracy vs Communism. It’s a new and evil threat that America is defending. But, in concession, they phrase it the way you would if you lost. It’s the little things.

Honestly, this would have weird ramifications as a New Yorker. I feel like where I live would be the battlefield for any New York-Canadian conflicts (especially considering we're on Lake Ontario, Canadian forces could send the Navy) I picture New York and some other state forming an alliance and conquering the Northeast/New England to form a small empire. I imagine Kodak and Xerox wouldn't have left since NAFTA wouldn't have existed, so the economy would be radically different. NYC would be even crazier.
