How the deck wins against high noon, deafening silence or damping sphere? I see some spell pierces, but is it enough? If some decks start using unmoored ego (lotus or wish) and lost legacy (wish) for lotus and other combos the deck will lose 10/10

I talk about Damping Sphere in my article, it's rough for sure, that's what makes the Mono-Green matchup bad, but it can be countered with Consign. Deafening Silence/High Noon are more beatable with bounce spells because they don't shut off Lotus. If people start running Ego/Legacy boarding in Jace should do the trick, it'll be too slow to hit Lotus most of the time and that would make hitting Wish irrelevant, plus it's possible to win without Lotus. Certainly both of these kinds of effects are good against the deck, but neither is unbeatable by any stretch.

When you put lotus on 3 and have vizier you sohuld always cycle it trying o hit consign to memory

In some cases it's better to save the Vizier for a future turn if the mana would go to waste otherwise and/or if the mana would be more useful on a future turn. If the mana would go to waste otherwise you're effectively losing out on 1 mana during the combo turn in exchange for about a 10% chance that you save 2 lands and therefore gain 2 mana for it.

I’d been playing bombardment decks in historic for like 6 months at that point, so when mh3 came out and truly broke it I was pretty ahead of the curve (in modern too as bombardment hadn’t caught on there yet either even after boros/mardu became popular)

Would you consider using balemurk overlord at all, or is mumble just straight better? If u ran reanimate, it could be good to have that as an option as well, just curious!

Mumble finding Breach is very important (and the scion is nice). I don't think a single reanimate makes me want overlord still, it would definitely be interesting in a full-on reanimator build (which I have tried before), however I haven't loved them. The main issue with that kind of build is that you're adding more graveyard dependencies to a deck that is already very vulnerable to graveyard hate, so it's not really worth it in most metas.

Losing Bauble and only having 4 fetches is going to make delirium a lot trickier to turn on, but you could probably make it work.

Against the Mardu energy I don't think they could've had the phlage you were worried about because of the Lurrus companion. Even if they brought them in it would've been visible by the sudden lack of a companion. Seems like a fun deck thanks for sharing it! I might try to craft it if I have the wild cards 😅

How do you feel about Breach Storm in the meta right now, especially with S&T adopting Veil and Leyline maindeck? Have you made any changes to your latest list?

I still think the deck is great, a consequence of that was me moving thoracle unearth to the main which helped a lot, though I haven't actually seen much s&t on ladder so I'm not sure it's even neccesary anymore. I haven't played the deck myself since the qualifier but the main changes I'd make are probably adding a noxious revival or 2 to the sb for Surgical and maybe a Molten Collapse if a lot of decks are switching from Hearse to Vacuum.

Short version is no, bowmasters is rough, 5 is way less than 7 very difficult to combo from without a setup turn, and shuts off breach lines which is a huge cost as that comes up a lot

Yeah, I think it’s a little worse right now it’s a little slow and pretty weak without necro while being less consistent at getting it into play. Very cool deck tho

Rumble is busted, I don't think sacrifice is that good even in scam since it doesn't really open up new loops and there's nothing that good to ritual out early, especially without Lurrus.

Noxious will help a lot, currently just dodge it or win fairly if they hit a combo piece, I’ve mini tendrilsed a lot after getting breach/drit surgicaled. Also if you don’t mill pieces early you can go breach then always be able to cast drit from yard in response to surgical while comboing and hope you don’t mill tendrils.

Just restricting s&t would go suuuuch a long way, breach is honestly pretty ok when its got a target on its back, same goes for the other drit decks imo. Also, force of negation would help a lot, I just don't want to see drit restrictedm imo it's part of the flavor of the format in the same way that wasteland/brainstorm/fow will never get banned bc its just how legacy is.

Got a 6-0 with your list after only a few practice matches. Breach is crazy! I think you took the right line by waiting here bc of the turn timer, but I thought it’d be fun to try and find a win at 8:21 . Sorry if my notes are illegible Sac channeler to tower, cast DT for breach - s1 Cast breach with spawn - s2, 14 in gy Cast ritual x3 - s5, 5 in gy, 7b floating Cast stitchers leaving dt - s6, 4 in gy, 6b (If tendrils or 3 remaining rituals are milled here I think it’s lost) Dt for di, s7, 1 in gy, 4b Di for ritual sac stitchers, s8, 6 in gy, 2b (If tendrils is milled here just cast ritual -> tendrils) Ritual, s9, 7 in gy, 4b Escape ritual, s10, 4 in gy, 6b Dt for tendrils, s12 It’s exactzies on mana and cards in GY so any mistake in my math makes the line not work. Actually if we attack them to 16 it’s easier! Just DT for tendrils after casting stitchers. Still loses to milling tendies on stitcher etb I think.

Actually now that I'm thinking of it there's a slightly more effecient way that doesn't include the risk of milling tendrils, you sac scion cast dt sac drc cast breach 15 cards in yard cast 3 rituals 7 mana 6 cards in yard demonic tutor for a ritual and cast it and then demonic tutor for a tendrils opponent on 16 tendrils for 18

I feel like I’ve lost to the rope more than any particular archetype while trying to learn the deck. Nothing to do but keep practicing I guess.

Been playing a similar list but kept running into issues with opponent running veil of summer / leyline, any thoughts on running amulets or a boseiju main to answer SNT / belcher in BO1? I feel like if they start with leyline i just instant lose in bo1

Against sultai its probably jund because the goldfish is faster, game one energy can win through veil though amulet is often not fast enough anyways, and post-board jund has unearth (and at this point its probabably worth running it in rb to be able to race). Plus, bauble is better in jund bc its awkward with raptor and can be found with rumble.

Thanks! No I haven't, though the dice factory aspect of your list seems very cool, not playing much modern atm but CoCo definitely seems like it has potential. I will say, 3 gravecrawler strikes me as a little odd given how easy it makes comboing, but it is pretty mediocre with coco/in multiples for sure.

@@omrithopter thanks！I use only 3 gravecrawlers as chatterfang has similar function. It costs two more mana but can activate at instant time and will not be affected by graveyard hate. It can also go infinite with soultrader+manufactor.

Thanks for the content, Im back in modern and will play this deck in a budget version, any tips? I will cut grief and bowmasters, I know this cards is really good, but Im playing only in my LGS, I have no reasons to buy this cards.

I would model the list after the non-scam version and lean more into the chthonian nightmare aspect of the deck with more shambling ghasts since it fills a similar function as bowmasters when comboing. I would also probably main deck a little more interaction like thoughtseize
