There's a new mechanic that if you get the three types of FON (tactician crowns) you will generate infinite gold for the rest of the game, so that's why he had like 322 or something of gold

I believe yes, the Academy augment works with Radiant items if the Radiant item matches the sponsored items for that game. If it doesn't, the bonus won't apply.

Question: I had a carry Nunu on an experiment square, mundo and twitch on two other squares and then Zyra on a sacrifice square I got from an augment. My nunu got pretty much all the kills cause I buffed him up (with 6 bruiser, an hp=aoe dmg evolution and a radiant item), but his HP at the start of game was always 6022. Wasn't he supposed to get the permanent bonus HP from zac's bonus? Was the game being buggy or is my mind being buggy?

I assume by zac you mean Dr Mundo. His HP gain on takedown is per round, it doesnt stack permanently. Is this what you were reffering to?

The Experiment trait’s permanent health gain applies only during a single combat round and resets after each round. Your Nunu started each round with 6,022 HP because the bonus from Mundo’s effect doesn’t carry over between rounds. This is intended and not a bug I believe so :)

I believe these items are considered "lucky," meaning they are randomly selected but always beneficial to the unit holding them :)
