29 yo chronically unemployed me watching this from my 370€/mo appartment in rural France: "How are you doing, my fellow designers?"
@yupinoko9 сағат бұрын
Thank you for watching and for the relatable humor! I’m sure your rural French setting is inspiring in its own way. Let's continue on our unique creative journey!

18:45 I wish our lights had those plugs! I'd be changing them all the time! Like every time I changed the towels! We have three wires and should turn off the power to the whole room, before changing ceiling fixtures. The hardest part is getting all those wires back into the ceiling when finished. 💕🌞🌵😷

14:10 I like the new board. No one would ever know there was a hidden compartment underneath. Truthfully, you should consider putting your valuable possessions in there for safe keeping. You know... Diamonds and the fortune you are making in KZbin videos! If you applied tile to the board, it would make your bathroom too cold. The wood gives it some warm color. 💕🌞🌵😷

Thanks a lot! I’ll need to find some diamonds first to store in there. 😂

@yupinoko , I like the Japanese minimal style but maybe you think it is too simple because your brain wants a small wood molding or maybe a backsplash around the top as a frame? But I like it the way it is in this video... Maybe add a small plant? I love orchids. There's plenty of light with that window right there. And how convenient to have the sink right there to water the plant of your choice. 💕🌞🌵😷

You did a wonderful job and I love how it changes the feel of the room, BUT how do you open the window for fresh air? 💕🌞🌵😷
@yupinokoКүн бұрын
Thanks a lot for your kind words! 💕 If I open the shoji screen halfway, I can open the window. There is also another large window in this room, so ventilation will not be an issue. 👍
I love the diffuse, bright light this provides, and how it helps bring the work into focus when you need it to.

Lovely work. If possible, could you tell me about the tape you used for the Shoji to slide on? I will be in Japan in a few weeks and I'd like to get some while I'm there. Arigatou gozaimasu.
@yupinoko6 күн бұрын
The tape I used is called 'Shoji sliding tape', 'Tosuberi Tape' or 'Hikido tape' in Japan. You can find it in home improvement stores. Enjoy your trip to Japan, and arigatou gozaimasu for watching!

@@yupinoko Thank you for your quick response. We spent three weeks in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka) in 2019 and can't wait to get back. This time we're heading to Hokkaido - Sapporo, Biei, Otaru etc. I will definitely buy the tape, thank you again.

@@kakman1958 I've never been to Hokkaido, so I'd like to go there someday. I'd also like you to visit Fukuoka, where I live, someday. It's easily accessible and the food is delicious.

Japan it seems is all about wood. I could see after 10 seconds into the video it was going to be good. Wood.

You’re absolutely right, wood is such an integral part of Japanese design. I’m so happy you saw the potential in the video right away.

а где же пропорции чая :) Молоко чуть-чуть перевзбитое, подсушенное. Раньше так делали, теперь делают однородной текстуры. Но это дело вкуса.
@yupinoko6 күн бұрын

If you think the 100% cotton sleep great, try 100% Egyptian cotton. They feel so good they make me want to sleep nude daily, ha, ha. Love the floating night stand, good call with the rattan on the face of the drawers, the attic is a dreamy relaxing space. Thank you for the tour, you all's home in impressive. The white throughout is soothing (or maybe the music has more to do with the, ha, ha) and welcoming. The mixture of modern, contemporary, abstract and rustic is inviting. Let me know how the 100% Egyptian cotton sleeps in the event you acquire them.

Hello Yupinoko, Just joined your channel and enjoy watching you design and construct furniture. You've probably answered this question, but I'm curious. What's your scholastic and professional background? I ask only because in the two days that I have been a subscriber, you have made impressive furniture/furnishings and you're very acclimated to power tools.

Thank you so much for subscribing and for your kind words! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content. To answer your question, my previous job was in apparel management, my DIY is completely self-taught and It's just a combination of passion and practice.

You'll never get sunburnt behind a glass window (not even tanned). Glass is transparent in visible light but pretty dark in UV light, as UV photons are absorbed by the silicon dioxide molecules, so there is not enough energy in the passing visible light to damage your skin. Nice shoji windows though.

Thank you for the scientific explanation! I'm glad you like the shoji windows.
