I realize this is not an easy issue. It is about more than replacing the bridge, but you need to get in touch with Metrolink about this and ask them to make an announcement on the train when they stop at the north station. Last week I came down from Union Station for the first time since maybe January. I always get off at the north station and walk to the pier but after several yards I discovered the bridge was closed. My only alternative was to climb the stairs of hell and then take a Lyft to the pier. Since it has been months since the landslide it is obvious this is not a priority so communication is vital so others are not left stranded.

It’s absolutely absurd that the pickleball courts are closed on the weekends at San Gorgonio park in San Clemente. I’ve seen dozens of young people and adults climbing the locked fences so they can play pickleball and someone is going to be injured ; it’s just a matter of time. Could the city of San Clemente post the names of the council members who voted to close the courts on the weekend ? I’m going to organize a group to vote out the members who voted to limit the hours that the pickleball courts are open. Who’s the geniuses who figured out that closing the courts at 5pm Monday thru Friday when most people don’t get off work until 5pm ? It’s practically impossible to play pickleball at San Gorgonio park if you work a 9-5 job.

If an HOA can ban folks parking on the street overnight, surely you can have a similar rule that states you can not sleep on public property and have all your crap overnight. If drugs and alcohol are involved ARREST THEM!. Do it every night if necessary. Maybe they will move on. Until this state/country has better mental health rules of being able to commit folks that are a harm to themselves and others the tax paying law abiding citizens are screwed.
