Are you sure the bearing is still ok? Any kerbs killed?

Its material fault. But it can happen in bigger mileage. Lower mileage its not common. But can happen. For me its second wiew of this break. Second one was on porsche suv with maximum engine whitch was helped a bit. And bigger tires.

Hi Naptown Tuner. I have a 2011 Audi A5 2.0 TFSI Quattro CDN Engine code right hand drive and I'm trying to locate the N82 or coolant control valve for the transmission. I can't find this valve for the life of me and any assistance would be greatly appreciated🙏

I own brand new A6 2.0TDI dated end of 2023y, oil consumption 1L/2800km, engine mill. 9100km, already 3L refilled, we have more examples of such consumption in 2023y audi. Dealership rejected claim. Factory oil is 0W30.

Good video, thanks for that. Audi deliberately do this so that we can take it to them for repairs. It's the worst design I've ever seen for a bonnet release, and it's made from plastic so that it will eventually break, it's ridiculous ☹️

Is this your modified work Q5? Maybe all those scrap alternators you hauled overstressed the axle. Otherwise yeah, that's pretty damn weird.

What if it heat cycled enough to harden that thin spot? Like driving with parking brake, failed bearing, etc?
@tedlulis97317 сағат бұрын
Must have been a defect in the metal everyone knows that car doesn't have enough power to break an axle that is in halfway decent shape
@virtisconsole1217 сағат бұрын
Wow I’ve never see a cv axel break off it’s spline I’m the hub.. that’s a first, 280k might be a reason with hard driving but I think you may have hit the nail with under torqued axel bolt which caused play and movement and it finally weakened the axel and snapped.. those are meant to be 150 ft lbs then 180° .. it looked to be original hub/bearing assembly as well so I doubt that axel bolt was manipulated by a shop.. it could just be as simple as a defective axel
@VWERIC1017 сағат бұрын
Agree, have worked Audis since the early 90s and have never seen an OEM axle break like that.

Interesting that RL CV joint looks to be snapped from the knuckle but I’m confused as to why the front axels and RR aren’t able to move the vehicle?

My suspicion is gasket on the oil cooler leaking and oil in the coolant plus wrong spec’d coolant in there the generic coolant isn’t G12 I’d flush entire block, W/P and core and radiator with 5%,CLR solution.. hopefully it’s not a head gasket
