Excellent. Would be awesome to slap a belt on it with a little crank wheel maybe a bit easier to turn tbat way. I made a bag shape by folding a piece of 1 inch chicken wire and zip tying the edges and using a stick for a handle at the top. I fill it with compost and shake it for 20 seconds or so and it seperates all the small bits from thr twigs and large leaves! Great for smaller quantities. The sifter i made is about 5 gallons and i put about 3 gallons of compist into it at a time

You have a PARTS LIST? Wow. My machine is close to 20 years old. Boilers I'm told are $300 now plus shipping. I talked to a woman a week ago from John Ellis company and she was adamant they do not nor have they ever sold parts. Curious that you think they sell parts as of this video from 2 years ago. I need parts! They won't sell. What parts are still good on your old boiler? I keep fixing mine but it finally stopped boiling. Think one of the 2 temp sensors melted in mine. Appreciate your feed back.

Hey, very good question. I’m in the same situation. I have a John Ellis electron 5 machine and one of the UV lights are not working. Where can we find parts for the machine? Is there a way of knowing what kind of UV light to get or do you sell them personally, any information would be greatly appreciated!

That’s pretty nifty. I have four old front loader dryer wheels from the dryer tub that would work perfectly for this and they would be super quiet because they’re neoprene or similar. Was thinking you Could have a top frame as well with two wheels up top that way the barrel will be locked in by all four wheels. You could add a crank to the round board side of the barrel and build a simple floor plate on hinges that you could simply tilt and dump the entire thing into a bin . I like to use those black cement mixing tubs you get from the big box hardware store for this kind of stuff. Those bicycle wheels are such a cool idea.

@buzzard-roosthomesteadandp3097 Жыл бұрын
I don't know what the legality of doing that is and it wouldn't be feasible. You might be able to get a hold of someone from the company to see if someone in the UK has one or direct your information to them and let them get a hold of you.

Anyone know if the runoff water is just as good as the pure stuff. You get so much more runoff 5 gallons runoff to 1 gallon pure. I drink the runoff because I hate to dump it because of the time it takes to make.
@buzzard-roosthomesteadandp3097 Жыл бұрын
One of the usage for the run off is used for water wells. I believe they use it for sewer lagoon's also. The way I have it set up I run it back through the machine. I have a video showing my set up.

I just got my machine but don't get bubbles when I make the water. They sent me a 1 oz sample and I made a gallon with it and had many small bubbles which indicates oxygen, I think. I'm pretty sure John Ellis said in a video the bubbles indicate the water is maintaining it's properties when you see bubbles. Any thoughts?

I've never got bubbles that I've noticed maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention
