This is really great to see, can you do a few more on this topic. Forma and Tandem are looking promising.

How to read and assign the cut length of the beam to a new shared parameter? Its like transferring/copying value from one parameter to another. I know how to do it at basing level but I believe cut length it self is some calculated parameter.
@AECTechGirlАй бұрын
So it does not mater if the parameter you are reading is a read only parameter like cut length, the parameter can still be read with the 'Element.GetParameterValueByName' node. You then will have to do some math and combining to convert it from just a value back to fractional feet an inches or whatever unit you are using. Then you can use the 'Element.SetParameterbyName' node to apply it to the new shared parameter. Depending on what Data type that parameter is, you will need to convert it to a string perhaps.

That general session looked tiny tho? Hard to tell from just 1 shot but it felt like there was at least 5x more people than that at Vegas last year??
@AECTechGirlАй бұрын
I was at the general session early to shoot it so that may be a factor. Also what I heard is that all autodesk employees couldn't go or had to watch from the overflow area so that customers and other attendees would have room.

This looks great. Would be interested to know if there are any rating features or feature request features so employees can vote on which families need attention.
@AECTechGirlАй бұрын
that is a great idea. I am not aware of that particular feature. I don't see a specific forum for content catalog ideas but you could add it to the ACC ideas forum forums.autodesk.com/t5/acc-ideas/idb-p/acc_ideas

We're going to have a booth at an AIA conference in November here in Colorado. How did the DC conference go? Any feedback for another business on how to be effective?
@AECTechGirl3 ай бұрын
The conference was great and we were able to connect with many people and customers. I would recommend being part that AIA Expo Bingo card. This helps to bring many people to your booth.

hey thanks for the video. i am currently working with another content catalog that allows dynamo scripts. are you able to upload and manage Dynamo scripts on this platform?
@AECTechGirl3 ай бұрын
Which content catalog are you using? Currently the autodesk content catalog does not work with managing dynamo scripts but I have used Orkestra to do this. Have you used Orkestra before?

I have AEC only have I have ACC?
@AECTechGirl3 ай бұрын
Yes, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is part of the AEC Collection.
@ThatBIMGuy762 ай бұрын
@@AECTechGirl Actually that is not entirely true. Autodesk Docs is included with an AEC Collection license, to use other aspects of ACC you need to have BIM Collaborate (or Pro) entitlements. You do need Docs access to use Content Catalog.

Wow, drafting views too! It seems this was definitely worth the wait. I have so much to think about now. Hmm, time to develop a workflow for cleaning, reviewing, and hosting drafting views.
@ThatBIMGuy762 ай бұрын
Drafting Views is not new. we were able to do that in Unifi before Autodesk acquired them.
