@@dylanlockwood2113 thanks. My mechanic heard it and suggested it's likely a turbo boot leaking air. Will find out more and share.

Look into the slotted holes u move the umbrella looking counterweight u should see yhe piston move in and out with em.. trust me a 45 yr mechanic I worked with helped me out on the same issue

Fresh rebuild on a gm... blow the governors internal passages out with varsol... there's a piston u can see through the passage that moves in and out as the counterweights pull it open.. check operation clean and lube excessively.. flush the lines in the transmission and flush trans... basicly any trash, especially the cooler lines which most people don't blow out before installing trans.. the first place the fluid goes is into the governor and into the piston and it sticks.. 45 yr mechanic showed me this.. it will look clean but use a air compressor and varsol or diesel not brake clean

Yeah. I cleaned the governor and blew it with compressed air. Put it back in and it shifts now. Still pissed to go thru this when I thought it was plug and play. Oh well. Whaddya gonna do? 🤷‍♂️

Ended up using the Chevy Long Water pump took the Edlelbrock high-capacity pump back. That serpentine kit is sold as a kit by chevy and all parts come with it (add A/C compressor for another couple hundo $) I got mine off Facebook marketplace for $50 then had it hyrdo-cleaned and powder coated for 400. Even buying waterpump still put me around $600 total (half the cost of the new kit) translation: shop around for deals and save money.

Replacing the motor mounts is simple. All you need to do is remove the control arms. While the control arms are out, I'm sure they need new bushings and a ball joint. Since the shocks and springs are on the ground, may as well replace those, too. And don't forget about brakes. May as well replace that 40 year old brake line. See, simple job. Next we will talk about Gen 3 fuel pumps.

Did you ever figure out how to run the e brake cable ? This kit is trash
@drumluck69
@drumluck69 2 жыл бұрын
It is indeed. They gave me two short cables for e brake. Neither one will work with my Camino. I called JEGS and spoke with some guy who said he would send me a long cable after I sent him the one from the kit. I never connected my e brake.

Gabriele Piacenza Hi Gabriele, The difference was less obvious than I expected. The Termi and racing ECU are supposed to have increased the fuel mapping and this may be true but I didn't have a noticeable difference between stock and with slip-on Termis and racing ECU.+++

Awesome video man! By the way I think speedos are restricted to 187 mph so you could have been going faster but it wouldn't show it. Either way you'd probably have to account for speedos being slightly off unless you have a speedo healer.
