It doesn't surprise me, initially I thought I messed a ground somewhere after replacing the caps of the powersupply but nope, it was "try this one trick to make a million" hack that actually worked. I'm just glad I didn't have to open it up again

I discovered that these store bought GPS systems are not worth the cost when you factor in that you will not get free updates beyond 1 to 2 years. You would be much better off using the original "built in the car" GPS systems and do your purchased updates or just use your cell phone (google maps) which is updated all the time and it is free to use.

I have several parts laptops but every one of them has a good functioning AC power jack. I may not nbe doingthat kind of repair in awhile. I can suggest that if you are having trouble unsoldering the jack pins, you can flow some lead solder over the pins and then that will lower the amount of that needed to remove the original solder. A solder wick or solder sucker would also be most helpful then to remove the solder. Good luck.

Hello Mack... I usually stay on the CB band and on the main frequencies. I sometimes get asked to go in between or I find people calling in between channels. So, no worries. I am usually where any CB radio with SSB can find me.
