What gets me is how many things pretty much each verse can allude to, both that could have happened, that did happen, and what will happen. From the more obvious 'but its no longer you' meaning not that Odyessus won't make it home, but that who he was, would be so fundamentally changed, the that he would no longer be him. We debate on what exactly the prohet meant, but that's the thing anything that fits, is what he's talking about. He sees more than just was is, was, and will be. ---possible spoilers if your not familar with the original myths--- 'I see a brothers final stand' could mean against him, it could also mean of Polites, who was in many ways a turning point for Odysseus. If not the infant, it may very well where who he was began to die. Buuut, while incredibly unlikely, based on how the timeline here is going, it could also be about Telegonus, half-brother to Telemachus, and how this re-telling may protay the lost story of Telegonus, Telemachus, and their father.

I love the image that he's switching between stalking from the shadows and just standing next to them in plain sight, overlooked as just another "suitor" - absolutely terrifying
