I worked a supermarket in Massachusetts once had a customer that I didn't want some bottle of some type of salad dressing or somthing even on the slow belt she wanted it scanned gently and then she took it back. I just hope she didn't drive dangerously under the speed limit to get home. It was probably traveling a lot faster over some bumpier conditions when it was on its way to the store.

Ah, I recall a friend telling me his working in Waitrose stories and a customer got worked up that things were more expensive than ASDA. The customer said it was illegal and complained saying "I know the law, this is illegal!". The manager apologised to that customer, too.

It’s been Poundland and Pound Shop (or whatever the other one is called) for decades. Back then, a house was £100k in my area, now it’s £500k. Even wages increased a tiny bit.

They tried passing a law for energy drinks but never went through. Legally you can sell energy drinks to kids as much as you can sell alcohol free beer to kids. Most of the time it's company policies which is what stops kids from buying the products and not the law. Most corner shops just follow the law to the letter without policies. It gets confusing what is and isn't allowed because of it.
