I remember when I was at greaves school, about 83/84, and we used to go there to keep the residents company, just sitting with them and chatting and stuff, really enjoyed, but the building always gave me the creeps, actually still does, it looks very foreboding. Thanks for posting, just come across this channel and really enjoying it, 👌💯.

I am from Lancaster, and I knew it was there just by the golden ball, snatchems, I remember as a kid being told it was a viking ship, but good little vid 👍👌💯.

What's the top speed of the e-bike and how much does it cost to buy?

It's a mountain bike conversion. It does about 18 mph. But can go for over 20 miles and even more if I pedal more. Cost of £300 used

They do look a bit bland from the outside....but I am sure they will be well fitted out ...but it will be interesting how quickly they sell...and if any become second homes..

Yeah I enjoy filming things like this. This seems to be a common response I get from building sites. They like the video and all seem to watch it but are reluctant to credit me with any access or even a couple of quid. Yet they pay thousands for somebody else to do this. Crazy. Same from Broadway, All the student accomadation around Lancaster that I've filmed being built and more recently the Bulk road building where the project manager arranged to meet me and promised to pay me to film the build monthly and then just ignored my messages and didn't pay me a thing. But yet everybody asks can they use my video for themselves for free. It's crazy. Rant over. 👍

I've been told £799 rental. Which is bloody expensive. Mind you as people are saying they will probably fill them with Ukraine or other refugee groups.

Wow that was a quite amazing video pal loved it, i cycled this route many years ago right into Kendal and it was surreal to see the old bridges in the middle of the fields, it was bloody hard work the last 5 miles into Kendal but your video has inspired me to do it from Preston to Lancaster before the end of August.

I'm surprised they have solar panels when they are renting them out... Great, but didn't think they would as it would not be them that save from them, though I guess is reflected in the price... Which is a lot for a pokey place

It’s ran down because visitors numbers went to the floor with people taking the holidays abroad unfortunately. We went as a family a few times in early 1980s. With the (what was then new). Sun centre with indoor and outdoor pools etc, but the weather put paid to that and it ended up as a while elephant. Fingers crossed they get the Eden project which would definitely bring life back.

Was the 4x4 used by the Cockling crew that sadly lost their lives when the tide came in too quickly. It's a smaller suzuki possibly and was Blue originally, Very eerie. The local paper had a picture of it after the events :(

I just love Morcambe bay it is a very scenic place very peaceful great for a 5 day break hotel or camping.Archers campsite is excellent with cafe and all facilities.

Great shot. Would be interested if you could take the history further. That said, as I might have iterated previously. You are capturing images today that are hopefully going to turn out to be a unique visual history of the North-West. Never get despondent in your efforts. Your rewards and accolades might be sometime coming, but they will come nonetheless.

There's more than 1 vehicle out there between Hest Bank Crossing and Warton Stock Cars. I remember back in 2010 that there was a vehicle very close to the shore at Red Bank Farm. The shifting sands of the bay will move or uncover them every few years. Sorry, I don't have any specifics on them though.

nice video! i live in kendal and went to see the dam about 20 odd years ago, took my daughter there few years back on our walk, there used to be a statue of hound dogs on top of the gate post, not there anymore.....i'm pretty sure it's the one i saw in the front of a house a couple of blocks away from me.

Erm I've got heart problems so been banned from anything other than walking sorry. I've got an operation this week so hopefully I'll be back out there soon or I'll be selling my electric bike. All depends on how operation goes. ❤👍

The white dot on the grassy edge of the cliff is the praying shell sculpture. Said to remember the 23 Chinese cocklepickers who lost their lives when cut off by the tide in 2004.
