I don’t drive a truck but I also rather travel at night. The reasons given here are all correct AND I’m on the road with truckers that know how to drive! (Not people “running late”, “have to be there”, or are just plain angry)

I would usually start about 9am & go through till about 1am. As long as you've got an aircon bunk that works.

Even traveling in an automobile, it's much better driving at night, and of course if it's snowing or raining hard, then it's a matter of a safety issues .

I believe the truck lane should be the inside express lane and not the outside lane where all the merging traffic is. Let them get up to speed and merge into the fast inside lane and keep the car traffic today with their merging issues while the semis run straight through town.

Always loved working nights because I always commute and on the highway in WA the trucks looked like spaceships at night and they always were hauling ass which I appreciated because I wanted get home🤣

Dad was taken to the VA hospital in Waco. After he passed, I headed back to Dallas. I was astonished how much to ratio of trucks to cars was altered. Interstate 35 between San Antonio and Dallas and points north was amazing. .

Drove for 24 years cross country. Most of that driving was done at night. Preferred it then and still prefer it now.

Sounds like truckers don’t like being accountable or supervised if they prefer to drive when there’s less people to see them and less electrical equipment monitoring them. Stay out of the fast lane
