i just recently made a 270 unit sonobe ball. Folding time is no joke. Highly recommend if you wanna kill another 2 weeks making units 😅

I'm sorry to hear that. I know it is so frustrating to make all the pieces for a model for it to not work out. What type of paper did you use for it?

Hello! :) The paper that I am using in this model is called Bascetta Stern Set Duo. I got it at the OrigamiUSA Convention in NYC a couple years ago. I could not find it on OrigamiUSA's website, but I did find it on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/256003445356 Also, amazon has some Bascetta paper, but it is a little different. www.amazon.com/s?k=Bascetta+Star I hope this helps. :)

First I though it were just like Hokusai by Kankichi. I went to his/her channel to see if I remember correctly, but then I noticed just a tiny difference. which makes it uniq. It's been 3 years since I folded that one and I even mixes that one with his/her Hikeshi. So after folding this one I have three very similar ones with all beginning with H.

Since three of these units make a cubic corner, I found out that a 12-unit assembly can be made from these, even though these units are not a variation of the Sonobe unit.

I just think they are fun to make! I have tried to make modular rings on my channel a while back, but they always receive less views, so I usually stick to 30 unit structures.
