Greetings from the Motor City, Detroit! This is gorgeous! Well done. I’m surprised the scotch tape held in the cold. Wonder if magnets would work and not damage the paint?

Thanks! I used 3M clear tape, i dont think normal scotch tape will hold as good as this. In my opinion tape is safer than magnets.

Hi, nice job. I bought the same Machine 2 weeks before and i cant find any information for this Machine. So i called the Company ( is nearby ) for more information. They asked for the serial number ( 19444 Type B ) and viola they send me the Users Manual and Parts List. My machine was build in 1925 😏
@manuLab
@manuLab 21 күн бұрын
Thanks! Does it look just like this? My serial number is 4760, maybe i need to ask that also. Nice to know you can still have user manual and part list on these old machines😃

I worked on similar ones back in the 80's. They were, at the time; somewhat common in the women's accessories industry. Purses, billfolds, etc. I imagine the majority of that industry is now in Asia. I have some fond memories of that day and time. Well done.

Hey man, amazing craftsmanship! I’m currently losing my mind over finding the right colors from Serafil to get that oldschool E46 M Tricolor look. I was wondering if maybe you could help me out and tell me which color numbers you used? I tried to peek at the numbers on the spools you had in the video but couldn’t read them. Thanks in advance!
@manuLab
@manuLab 7 ай бұрын
Thanks! These are the right colours:8235, 0816 and 0504. If you want that purple version use 7377 instead of 0816
@mosh9276

@@manuLab Thanks for the quick reply! Now that I'm watching on my computer instead of my phone I can see the numbers on the yarn perfectly, whoops. I'm pretty sure you know what you're talking about but what's still a bit confusing to me is that the lighter blue looks kinda dark in the shot with the three spools next to each other and very light when you're sewing with it and also in the finished steering wheel. That's why I first thought 8470 (which is lighter and also a bit turquoise) could maybe be an even better match for the M colors. Or am I wrong ?
@manuLab
@manuLab 6 ай бұрын
@@mosh9276 that can be possible! I actually can't remember did I use "right" blue on that one because its so long time ago but I do remember those color codes what are at least close.
